The latest version of PvBCageMatch has been in public testing for a few days and I'm getting closer to making it final. If you have any bug reports, suggestions, or requests, please post them here.

If you would like to make some matches of your own, here is a pre-release devkit. You can send your match to my email (click the logo in the program to see my email) and I'll add it the server. Because the packages aren't yet released, you won't be able to test your matches offline but I always review them first to make sure they are playable and you can always send me an updated version if you want to make any changes. I've included a sample match. Also please read the short readme first!

Oh. That means that you don't have java in your system path which you need to run desktop java applications. Here's a guide for setting your path.

How can I test the match, or is that not finished yet?

You can't test a match offline yet. One of the reasons is you would need all the packages. The packages aren't final yet so you would get a bunch of mismatch errors when I update the packages on the server. If you aren't satisfied with your match you can readjust it.

Making matches is easy though. The only part that might be hard is adjusting the health values of the bots to make the match challenging. I can tell you 10 bots with assault rifles and 500 HP is a good challenge for 4 people. If you are going to do a few bots such as a boss round with Anna, Gunther, and Walton, I would set their HP at around 1500 each and give them good weapons like plasma and sniper.

I was expecting some crazy suggestions and didn't expect matches but I got the exact opposite! So far I have received 9 new matches from 4 new contributors. This brings the total number of matches to 46 and the total number of contributors to 7. This was my goal, a mod that depends on user contributed content.

As for suggestions, I know someone has to have some crazy new ideas for bots. Here are some of mine to get started:

Weapons for players and bots:
-The flashbang and vortex grenade from Bowen.
-Suicide vest

New bots:
-Ghost that appear when a bot dies (but what should they do?)
-Karkian that can revive the dead by chewing on carci
-Elemental bosses
