DXMTL

DXMTL is clearly a very important part of DXMP. DXMP games are a mess without it. But I don't know much about it. I'm interested in its history. I've searched for information but couldn't find much. So if anyone could tell me something about it that would be great. Like who made it? What does MTL stand for? What are the CBP parts of the mod from?

think it was something like.. Mod T..Team Loader?
Original version made by Smuggler (who vanished), then TRM (maybe he worked on the original alongside with Smuggler as well) and Nobody later on. (?)

Think the year it was made was 2002.
That's as far as I remember.

That second link was very helpful. So does Nobody have the actual source?

Noone does, unfortunately.

Many, including myself, attempted to either retrieve the original source or creating a working version of DXMTL by recompiling, but it never becomes stable.

What are some of the issues with that? Extending MTL can get tricky when you need to override a function that uses inaccessible variables. A version in which the variables were accessible would be great.
