Yeah this is the file for my server, plus a server starter if anyones interested *HINT HINT* although you will need my help with starting the bugger up

Server info - 20 mins time

Skills level - 1
Skill points start - 5000
Skill points per kill - 1500

Friendly Fire - 0.3

10 player max

Euro standard ping - 100
American ping - fuck that

Ping = alot, when downloaders download

Double post yeah i know, reason a - bump, reason b - extra info

Anyway, the skill system seems reasonably effective, starting with 5000 generally means that classes which struggle, take the sniper for instance, have much less to worry about and can safely buy both upgrades for rifles with no harm done, heres a list of effective upgrades per class

Soldier;

Rifles
Pistols
Low Tech
Demolition
*Computers*

Sniper;

Rifles
Low Tech
Demolition
*Computers*

Medic;

Low Tech
Pistols
Demolition
Healing
*Computers*

Stealth;

Low Tech
Pistols
Demolition
Lockpick
*Computers*

Engineer;

Low Tech
Heavy
Rifles
Demolition
Multitools
Computers

* - Computers are not important, unless under circumstances which make availible the use of hacking a turret, except the Engineer who can access Turret Controls anyway.

Soldier - Total SP Needed = 16000, Total Kills Needed = 8
Sniper - Total SP Needed = 12000, Total Kills Needed = 5
Medic - Total SP Needed = 14000, Total Kills Needed = 6
Stealth - Total SP Needed = 14000, Total Kills Needed = 6
Engineer - Total SP Needed = 18000, Total Kills Needed = 9

Given that your skills reset every death, it really emphasises the need for teamwork to prolong life

If only streaks were the scoring instead :D

If you made your own gametype, how is changing the scoring system all that hard ;) (Or would it need another type of PlayerReplicationInfo?)

I've noticed that there is no speed increase when using speedaug, besides when i jump. Actually there is no use for it.

Also... combat knife in medics case is more suitable.

I like the fact speed only makes me jump higher, i think that was intended anyway. :wink: Although the stealth is my fave class it's almost too good as it is, the speed just helps jump up stuff where as other classes can't. :)

On different maps, different classes are the best, on Landernau I find that Engineer is best, two lams to clear the way, shotgun to take out more than one enemy, and the flamethrower to take out any stealth people and generally set people on fire...

Im not a fan of the others to be honest. I don't thhink DXAG works over a very big map like A51..

It needs a good mix of both close quarters and open areas, A51 brings out the snipers and when Speed was speedy the Stealth's as well

But i always liked the engineer.

Extend it and make it not so linear then it would simply be 10 out of 10 instead of the 9 it is

Some pistol where you can switch between full-auto and semi-auto.

As you remember I've already done my part with all the coding for those 2, about half a year ago lol :wink:, but you were a bit n00b at modelling, whereas now you're d4 pr0. (If you made t3h w00d, you can make anything :P)

I got teh bored, so I decided to make that gun. It's un-animated, as of yet, but it's reasonably good quality.

Would it need a pickup view mesh , as it's a DXAG type weapon, and they can't be picked up as pickups, right?
