new MPKeypad (WTF one more mpkeyppad again?)

hello
some time ago i thought about making an MP keypad that is really secure from keycode getting
but i didn't think about it anymore while i was gonna leaving DX

but now i'm back and i wanna ask who would be still interested in such a keypad...

in all that time many keypads moved around but none of them was really protectd against "hacking" the code (although some said "their" one does)


PS: for the last option please send me that keypad or give me a link that i can check it out ^_^

the questition isn't that stupid

i don't need it and i want to know if someone would need this at all.. not that i waste my time for making that possible difficult thing and then noone needs it :wink:

ok.. up to know i can read out of the vote that the majority wants to have one.

i'll still wait one or two days and then i'll decide

Nobody but first of all make a unchangable map name thing (i wouldn't call it mutator). That's more important atm.

well.. the map name protector is the easiest thing of all...
i already added it to my SG ring-transporter map and it worked fine

to MTL: TheSheep currently works on MTL i'm still with MTL (or better with MTL again)
but TheSheep is currently the one who modifies it
and i can tell you all he made amazing updates! :D

some days ago he posted a BIG update log in the private part of the MTL forum
so don't worry, it IS still going on with MTL and if that still goes on that good, then it will be released in a not too long time :)

EDIT: wtf.. O_o i'm a dude?? >_<

the only other german that i know is CreatorDX
he wanted me to help him with the pepsi extension of FLCity (that i#ll do when i have time)

Germans contributed a lot for DX community. There is a huge site with nice downloads gallery called www.deusexzone.info. Legendary carone (www.carone1.de) lives in Germany too. Whole R2R clan years ago was made of pure germans so as [A]. I dunno but i thought DerZeitMann mod creator was german too.

once i tryed to install it... well i dunno anymore >_<

i have a feeling Der Zeit Mann didnt get much work done to it when Kevo starting working for TNM

but he wanted to finish it, as an experiment, also i believe he was a fanatic for the film Der Zeit Mann

also, bear in mind he did EVERYTHING by himself

ok, let's go back to topic

finally i got ready the prototye of the keypad! :D

i still have a problem with the number buttons.. for some reason the label of the buttons vanished..
but i think it's fixable :)

finally, the keypad is ready.. and WORKS! :D

however...
there is a problem that i can't solve with the abilities of unrealscript >_<

it isn't possible for clients to get the code of a keypad in the running MP game anymore because the keycode information is not longer transfered to the client
but what i can't realize is to hide the code from being shown in the editor
that's a fact and there is no way...
the only solution for this problem that comes in my mind to to protect the map from being opened in the editor at all

ok... that was my more or less good update :-/

hello there again!

i made progress with the keypad!
it already worked last weekend but i have had a major problem..
..if you use a multitool, you get instant access but that instant access thing wasn't compatible with my new code validating system so.. the illegal-hack detection always kicked me from server lol
but now i got it

i just have a small... graphical problem that just appeared for no reason..
no clue how to fix that @_@

Yeh a few people noticed that.
It should be fixed soon, I think.
