New Map Idea

i was looking around the net one day and bumped into a military article about some group was purchasing weapons and vehicles from different countries and i saw one of my fav military weapons: howitzers. Then it gave me an idea that make a map about the world wars and the terrain conditions that the soldiers had to go thru... (maybe add a howitzer in there ^.^)

Terrains:
Ditches
Trenches
Craters (from artillery shell impacts)

Weapons: (plz no LAWs)
Assaultguns
Sniper Rifles
Combat Knives
Assaultshotguns

Key Ideas:
One force invade the other's base (kinda the same with Omaha Beach but more advance) its sorta like Capture the Flag but with defense turrets.

I was kinda hoping to add the standard machineguns that they used back then, but that would put too much work, so it would be better if it sticks to DX weapons.

Im working on a map sort of like that. Im not very skilled so it won't turn out what you or any would think it would :wink: .

If there's gonna be hills like Omaha, I wouldn't suggest sniper rifles as that ruins the feel of WWII style warfare (well at least what I think). In those WWII games we played, we provided cover with BARs and Thompsons, whilst the Germans had machine guns. In a big map like that, people'll depend more on snipers than assalt rifles or shotguns and it'll turn into GODZ's Omaha Beach map.

I have an old map like that with artillery bunkers.

Made it myself but never really got finished.

I made a map just like the one described, except it was never finished, it was based on a future world war (Hence why it had TheSheep's mod) and, due to my lack of mapping skill, sucked. It had a guard tower, trenches, rats, pools of flesh and blood, lots of bodies, huge craters, a flying helicopter, ruins, and that's about it.
It was never finished, there were only a few subtractions as well. Due to the hackiness of that version of Bleater, the mod messed up the map.

I have my TNM map to finish.

Then I'll probably start on DX:R and Novocon.

The low gravity thing was to far though.
