hmmm, looking through the manual i found this:

Computers
In multiplayer games, all computers are supposed to start hacking automatically and not allow login via password. Since we don't support randomized passwords, any actual password would allow users to completely skip the hacking step, and thus eliminating the usefulness of the computer skill. To remove the password, set the Login and Passwords for all accounts on the computer to "" (that is, blank). If the passwords are successfully removed, the computer will not have a login screen and hacking will be automatic.

Its been tried and tested too, when someone decides to host one of the DXSP maps on the internet there is often security computers that automatically start hacking. in DXSP they prompt for a password ( which does exist! ) but they dont automatically start hacking

besides if noone can get PAST the door into the room why have a password?

you can make it so that you have to enter a password and username aswell.....i have done it before

okay, i will try it. But i still dont see why we need to password protect a couple of cameras if the access to the consoles is blocked by the FLKeypad2 which you cant get the keypad code from even if you open it in unreal ED

but you cant exactly get the names of players from security panels, you can only see them

i prefer admin cheatview <player id>

which gives you a complete view of what that person is doing :P

they dont notice if you use cheatview and you can just swich to an external view of them

ok, the map is very close to a final release! I have finished it all! tommorow at around 4:00PM GMT Friday I will be hosting the final beta for bug busting. I will be spending a good time tomorrow morning looking for bugs by myself. The only reason why the server wont be up is if i

a) have a catastrpohic internet connection crash
b) have server problembs
c) get told not to host it
d) i am not at home (E.g. delayed leaving school)

I will try my best to host it though :P

Update: Everything is on track for the beta. I should just be able to arrive home and host it straight off. It will be hosted all the time during the normal server hours today ( 4:00 PM GMT - 9:00 PM GMT )

Okay, public beta was canceled in favour of a private beta. The next version of weaponsmarket you will see is the final version.

Because of this the server will be offline until the final version if finshed due to deveoment of the map.

Sorry about the public beta

CHANGES TO MAP

- Cat Killing Removed due to FPS lag on all computers (inc. mine)
- Some rooms retextures (Stairs with one texture "are not good" even though they often come with one texture in real life. I will change them though :evil: )

ur server is good dae

Some UK people (like Conceited[DCSB]) get about 600 ping on it.... thanks anyway :)
I think i will get better connection next month.... then my server will be really GOOD.

Outkast I'm not a forum mod or anything but please stop randomly spamming.. if you want to spam about random things then please just go onto the spamming section of the forums.. I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that I find it annoying.. :(

i found ONE bug

in the shop, when youre inside. The gate that blocks anyone from getting in. If youre too close, SPLAT, you die when it closes..and it remains closed until an admin comes in the server and opens it back up

NOONE CAN GET IN THE SHOP IF THAT HAPPENS

thats a problem when the admin isnt there


(and also, whats with the random "i dont like you spamming Outkast")
i wasnt spamming at the moment

that is there deliberatly so that people cant invade the shop. You will find the same thing in UP2.

But of course pressing that button is optional
