aSK - anti-Spawn Killing

Upon visiting your home page, it seems as though you hope to aid in eliminating the bane of spawn killing from DXMP.
I've seen some current maps, and I really dislike the idea of locking the spawn rooms down, I mean sure it works, but then you've got to hunt for the ammo, and exterior weapon racks, which can be a pain in some maps.
As an alternative I've been trying to implement aSK, or anti-Spawn Killing. Basically a modification of all DX weapon code and DeusExWeapon in addition with a new zone - SpawnZone.
The idea is that the weapons don't fire in spawn zones (as they don't in water) and when a projectile enters a spawnzone it is immeadeately destroyed (without splash for you geppers out there).

I got that few months ago, i'm placing ammoboxes in every corner so player can easily get ammo when he needs.

Very nice idea. For example, i remember Jim Bowen used same to prevent of using grenades in spawnzones (not weapons, just grenades). Problem is - there is no codders and i don't know how to realise it...im bad one in codding. I will try to do something but i don't believe in myself when im working for something, that i have not completely explore.

I'll get around to it soon, I'm currently trying to finish up another DXMP map, one that I've had in my head for a while now (it's turning out great). And the APs and the ISEF are soon, so I'm going to have about nil time until after 4 weeks.

tbh thats a crap mod, youl get people clipping in and out of the protection areas to prevent people being hurt. hmmm u cud work on it a suppose.

Ok. Here are my Views:

Allow there to be an option so the map designer can choose if they want people to go one way or both ways, because both methods could be used in diffrent types of map (E.g A aSK zone around a shop - so you cant get frag'd whilst at the shop)

We don't have outside web access, which means you would have to be inside the lonney bin, and if thats the case then you are in the VR room. 8)

All ou database systems run linux, with the full pass protection 8)

All data kept on our Windows XP computers are errelevent. 8)
