Im having a little problem with a sky box that im making.

Image

As you can see in the screenshot, weird lines appear at the edges of the box.

I'm using 512 x 512 pixel textures which i have converted to 8 bit color,

and the textures are transparent at the bottom half

And the box is 512 x 512 x 512 in size.

Any ideas how to get rid of the lines ?

I'm guessing the box is alligned to the grid? Other than that, not sure..

IF you create a mist zone in the top 128 units of the area, and put your mist light actors along the edges, it won't look too ridiculous and you'd be able to make a nice looking skybox.

i had exactly the same problem, but instead of trying to solve it, I made a new sky zone from a cylinder. Cylinders don't have that problem.

Great Job, this is exactly how Valve made their Skybox's for games (as well as many other companies)
