Need Help with Warp Zones

Postby Shinobi » Thu Sep 27, 07 2:34 pm

Hi all.

I'm trying to get warp zones to work, and so far I've been successful(ish), but I've run into a few problems.

Firstly, I'm trying to make some funky circular "walk-in warpers", but my skills with custom shapes ((de)intersecting etc) aren't that great.

Is there such thing as a circular sheet brush? Coz I wanna make a circular zone portal to cover my warp zones, and then intersect and export the brush in order to re-use it.

I've attached a .rar file with the beginnings of my warp zone testing map.
Any help no matter how small would be appreciated.

Cheers for reading.

Shin.

The (really rubbish) map, which I made just to sorta test my ideas. It's not meant to look good or anything.

Why not just use a cylindrical 3D brush and use the 'Add Special' function to turn it into a number of Zone Portals?

When I get home I'll try it to see if it works, but for now, it's just a theory :)

I'm not totally sure what you mean, magus.

Hmm - on second thoughts - Split the cylinder up into say, 8 sections or something, zone it off, and...

hey this could work!!

Thank you!
