So where do I start...

I've been working on an RPG mod / map on and off for somewhere between 1 - 2 years. It's been pretty slow with college and everything, but it's pretty much finished now. It's geographically huge, and the mod features all the typical DXMP RPG stuff (credit card, bank, shops, houses etc) and more, which I don't think has been done before (cops, jail, working gangs etc (should have working NPCs again now but I need another beta)). It will hopefully be out and hosted early 2011 / very soon on one of ShadowRunner's FGS servers.

Anyway, reasons for this little post rather than an immediate release of the mod:

Suggestions - If you want a cameo in the mod, or want something in the mod, tell me or make a .uc file for your char (with custom textures if you want; all is default atm) and I'll stick it in a club or bar or something. Wherever you like really. If it's a big gameplay changing thing then I'll save it for Scar's upcoming mod.

Mapping - So I'm on the final chunk of the city. It's really all there is left to do. It's by far the biggest chunk, and mapping it is just painful (I'm definitely not a mapper). I've already stolen a building from DX1 Paris which I liked, but rather than import loads of DX it'd be awesome if people could make prefabs for buildings they'd like in the city (will need some smaller ones, but I'll add the large ones too).

Basically, I need some buildings (even tiny prefabs) and it would be cool if you all got involved, plus cameos etc. Feel free to submit anything.

I guess this needs incentive / proof that the mod is actually happening.

For an idea of the size, map in viewport is highlighted on overhead grid. I wanted to sshot the entire map but it can't handle rendering that many surfaces at once and crashes.

Highlighted area is part of chinatown (gang stuff, market, missions etc), "tunnel" in middle is abandoned city (hostile part of slums, with only way of losing wanted level, safe part being just left of that) and rigght of that is just generic city.

Oh and this isn't off grid / bad size like it appears; the grid is still 16 in shot and I didn't consider doorways when choosing size of rooms.

Edit: The empty-ish part at the top right is what I was asking for building prefabs for. Offer's still open, but have already started filling it in.

I liked the way you created the city scenery, I always fail at that and it is my favorite kind of game sceneries.

Thanks! :D This is in the last stages now; I just need to add a few classes. It should definitely completed within a week or two.

The map is complete, so don't worry about the prefabs. Now I'm waiting on ModDB authorisation before I put more shots etc up. So yeah, last chance for cameos / suggestions (except for in possible future updates).
