Making NPCs attack multiple players (for Co-op play)

Postby Doktor Haus » Sun Feb 20, 11 7:30 pm

So, I'm currently working on a Deus Ex co-op project. I've figured out level transitions and everything's go well so far, except NPCs refuse to attack when there's more than 1 player present. This goes for all of the single player maps when loaded in DXMP. They shake their gun at you, which is hilarious, but obviously not acceptable for a serious playthrough. I know how to set up NPC alliances, so... what do I need to do?

So have you just loaded single player maps in DXMP?

Basically, yes. Only I had to make copies of the maps with "DXMP_" in the titles, as the stock maps kept giving file mismatch errors. The copies I'm intending to re-work with the correct map exits.

it's a network replication issue obviously

I guess try digging up MBBots to see what needs to be done

I'm using MPBots too, but the custom coded weapons they use cause them to spray all of their ammo at once. Default weapons fix this, but spam the log with accessed nones. Will try to fix soon.

Also - interestingly, anything extending "Animal" with an NPC projectile weapon seems to work perfectly fine (greasels etc). :?

I'm up for helping, been trying to get someone to do a proper co-op mod for years. Show me what ya got and I'll see what I can do?

Transitions I could never figure out.
So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Ok, I'm just doing some testing at this point, and trying to get the intro to transition to the first training level. I changed DestMap to DXMP_00_Training (I use the DXMP_ extension to avoid file mismatch), but when the intro ends it brings me to the main menu.
