NPC Alliances in Multiplayer

How do you set an NPC to attack a player in DXMP (any player)

on single player you set alliancename=player, alliancelevel=-1.00, bPermanent=true, and this works, for single player only, but when i host the map on multiplayer, the NPC is neutral.

I think he wants to add a normal npc, and not a whole mod of 1mb big.

hmm..
what about MPBots?
how i remember they worked too and are just 47KB big

or is the sense to keep the map being mod independent?

Nope, in UnlimitedParty they dislike you if you attack them. Only then.

well then...

in properties is something like AttitudeToPlayer in AI section
and there's also a section called Fears

i think there's something to manage

i changed the NPC's alliance : you have to change 'bLikesNeutral' to False.

but one more problem, he fires, and theres movement, but theres no sound, no bullets, and no damage. (same for all weapons including low tech)

That's what MPBots fixes. The original coding can be done - but it cannot be changed from properties menu. You'd have to make a seperate class to make them fire.

the problem is that MPBots exist in different variations.. i have no clue why
the functionality is always the same but the compiles are different...

this is my version

I had a bot, based on flibs scripted pawn which fired and attacked (if anyone knows my securityman in Bigbrother etc.) You can get karkians to attack (they also feature alot in 2 of my maps big brother,poolparty, 007_base etc :lol: ) I just change a few settings and voila..they'll eat you alive! And greasels..well anything really...

Yeah MPbots..you can never get the right one...someone is always hosting a different version! Like that annoying TNAG! (with out the Large download!) :roll:

of tnag there just exist 2 versions

one is 8MB big and the other 8the better one) is 10Mb big

How do you get karkians to attack? what do you change?

how do you get MPBots to work? i put a bot into my map and when i tested it, the same thing hapenned. firing animation, but no fire. help? what settings do i need to put for the bot?

i am facing the same type of problem.....i am trying to recreate the Hive...you know from resident evil...the thing is....i need to somehow get things to attack you when you see them....but its not working
