Among other people, i have been having problems exporting meshes from moddeling programs to DeusEx/UT . However, after some consideration, i tried what seemed an inobvious thing to do at the time.

First, run command prompt. Look at the screen that comes up. The directory that is displayed is where you MUST place the meshes to be converted to DX/UT.

The project directory is only the location that the files are exported to after completion of conversion. placing the files for convrting here only results in an "Item not found" error...

There is a picture explaining what im rambling on about enclosed.

I thought i'd post this cos i saw nothing else about it... Soz if this is already here, if it is, i'll go cry in a corner.. :(

Edit: Yay! it's not just not useless, it's Stickeyd! :D my first sticky :)

I'd like to add - If you have a file in... say C:\DeusEx

You would have to type - CD C:\
Then CD C:\DeusEx

To get to said folder ;)

This is how you do it if its not in that folder.

Open command prompt and type for example:
C:\DeusEx\MyMod\Models\unr2de C:\DeusEx\MyMod\Models\MeshName

Enough pissing around in CMD, just download this.

http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... ySetup.exe

Right click the folder you want, and click 'Open Command Window Here', and it opens with that directory. Much easier 8)
