Ued play.

There was a file I once had that allowed me to test play the maps I had created in UEd2 called autoplay.unr. I have since... misplaced it.

Little help?

not sure, but try to make a map and call it autoplay.unr

Might work when you test your other maps.

Hehe. I think it had something to do with triggers or something. I think it was on Trailmax's old site that I got it first, the old [E3] one.

I thought the editor would just would save over autoplay.unr to play the map. Well if you need the editor again, here it is:

No no no. It's not the Editor, I have UEd2. It's a file that allows you to test your map by pressing the "test map" icon.

I know what it is, just gave you a link to the editor if you wanted to know where you can redownload it later. Also, isnt the autoplay.unr just a map that the editor saves over when you test? Have you tried making a autoplay.unr?

I have an autoplay.unr file. Doesn't do the task required however.

UED 2 sucks since there doesn't exist a proper DX conversion
..just some package with some hacky modified DX game files... a shame

When I map I make accent on decoration with brushes than with models and when i need to place a model, I can just launch UEd1. UED2 is very handy, gives less GPFs, can be upgraded, browsers in it are easier to use, it works faster and rebuilding is more qualitative. It isn't a replacement for UEd1 of course, but a tool for serious intentions in mapping.

actually you can show brushes with UED2 however they are screwed up
yes.. the brush builders are better in UED2

also i tryed to make a new DeusEx.u for UED2 where you have ALL classes avaiable... some time i'll catch up that idea again

ok.. let's say it in this way

if i make a map with UED2 there are missing several classes

also.. if i make a map with UED1 and try to load it with UED it often can't load the map in the UED2 because it says it can't find some classes in deusex.u (the one that UED2 uses)
