lol... well you got me by the knickers when i admit to you that i have a GeForce 8500, when me and my dad found it it made the best video card in our house, hell, even had a built in fan, but I guess it's not as wonderful as we thought? oh well, as long as it supports the dx basics, i'm happy as could be.

Hmm.. I think it may be the DirectX 10 render for DeusEx, not fully optimized. Those screens I took playing with a GeForce 6200 using DirectX 9 render + ENB Series, I think it should work fine in your pc. A Geforce 8500 can run a lot of game.

However the 8 series are obsolete and Nvidia isn't getting good results with the new graphic cards generation (Nvidia Fermi VS. ATi Radeon HD 5xxx). I recommend ATi Radeon HD 5xxx cards by now.

This card is a monster: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/ ... rview.aspx .

I took other screen shots:

wow that super bloom looks AWESOME in iceworld... and you're probably right about the not fully optimized directx10 for dx thing.

GPU discussion has been split into a separate topic.

Man that render is great! It has cool graphics but if your pc can't run it very well (like mine) you can simply disable the advanced rendering by pressing CTRL+F12.

Yes, it does. :(

I personally liked it, especially the bump mapping (when it goes fine in some textures).

OP should be updated with D3d10 renderer from www.kentie.net

I'm working on removing most stickies for a thread for all this. Thanks for reminding me.

There's a kentie link in the dx forum at least but not for the d3d10 renderer (sure the guide comes with it anyway)

I'm considering getting a few peeps together to build one unified site for all things DX (much like dae's now-dead idea of a new alpha site), to help increase DXMP community upon release of HR. Shadow 'n' CHinny are working on server for DXMP:HR, we got alpha and fgs forums (both good).... meh I dunno.

I'm not a mod but I would help clean up old, irrelevant topics here at the forums if help is needed.

i suggest you drop the idea to be honest. i know a few people working on something that is for the deus ex series and not affiliated to such sites as dxcentral or EM official forums.

don't want too many hands in the pie my friend.

edit: i do want help with that actually, i don't want irrelevant topics i want to group together the best topics, remove all stickies and make a topic linking to the best of the threads.

something along the lines of: http://www.mycrysis.com/forums/viewtopi ... 40&t=12386

you can definitely help me with that. do you use STEAM often?, if not just pm me any good list of threads. just don't go out of your way doing it because i might not include some threads.

this goes to all of you too.

no one from DXMP in particular. But it will have support for DXMP i believe.

they've posted in this forum, not a lot but they've not really been part of the MP scene, at least as of late.

edit: i also edited my post above regarding the offered help, read it everyone modding related.

On steam weekly for about 2 days a week, usually all day and all night. Will be online more soon I'm getting the internet at my flat.

What's ur steam name I'll ad ya on the community site, I don't have steam installed on this pc as it's not mine.

I think the alpha forums really do need cleaning up. I'm not up for creating new stuff if someone else is doing it but I think we need to clear the crap outta the forums and certain stickies need updating.

i'm cleaning alpha forums just incase anyone reads it really, feel like i owe the forum after spamming too much.

i read back that people were saying that s3tc does not work in multiplayer yet it does i played with s3tc textures on in kadam's fun server it was just a test but they responded 100% i could see them so did kadam

but that only counts for custom texture packages

you just cant use the new vision texture packages in multiplayer because the size is different from the original and thats why people cant join because every texturepack mismatches

so if your a good texture artist go for it and make some awesome s3tc textures
