dude, do u even know energy shield? cos its not in a single tax of you? what you gonna do against plazma man? you will just die if you used this tax. i see no reason to use combat in big maps, since knives, DTS aint so useful (are not long range weapons). that means combat strenght is a total waste and energy shield has to take place.

i dont know guys, but i think that most of you are just some wannabes that never were good in augging, just wannabe good, and when big oldschool players like monkee comes back, you just leave the server, b4 getting owned.

if you really wanna learn how to proper aug, go to triad forums, register, and download ALL messiahs demos. there you will learn some fine aug gameplay.

Now, if you recall when DEA first started to use knives they'd own you no matter where you were. Any good knifer can EASILY use cloak (even against vision) and sneak up on you, 1 hit kill you and be off with your corpse. We're trying to help people out here, don't turn it into a flamethread.

Unless ballistics is used of course. But, it would be stupid to run ballistics when not in combat.

Im sticking with rifles. Conceited helped me out some regarding high ping games =). I still need to get a hang of the lag tactics though. Besides I play some nonaug games now and then and aug rifling has been of great help. I can understand how someone who likes to use he shells and knives all da time would not be playing it. non aug is a mod and if you dont like mods you're an ignorant. This does not mean you have to play it all the time of course :p. Its the game that matters.

I don't think its wise to flame anybody who uses different style or strategy :/

Yeah, But I reckon this would have more of an effect than lagged rifles. Because when you're full of lagg and you come up against a good player, he's gonna beat you. But if he don't have ADS, or doesn't see that lam, he won't.

I dont set all of my augs and I noticer many people do that. They set every aug on the list in the aug menu and turn them all on when they dont need it. If people start tanking I turn on speed and once I die I set ADS. People who worry about bio levels usually use power recurc so they have one less thing to worry about, unfortunatly if you dont have speed you cant dodge LAMs. Therefore expect to be fragged hardcore.

People aren't stupid, they'll adapt it to their style and find out for themselves what combo's are good for them. View the demorec, I just demonstrated it so it obviously works for high ping players.

What do you expect me to do? Start a newb off on a high skill level. Monkee your definition of high ping is 200-250. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking 300+. If you have a problem with it, fuck off. It obviously work from viewing the demo.

Besides, all Auggers have a different Style that they think would be easy for them. It's just about learning and practising on that Style to get better with it.

So, if someone doesn't like this particular Style they'll just choose another one and if they quit Augs then they're fucken retarded for giving up too quickly.

Okay. Forum guards, I think you should step in here. Remove all posts not related to the guide.

Monkee, Dejavu, guides do help people get into augs. If people don't play with augs, this actually will be of much use to them. Both of you know how to play, and thus you need not even read the guide. Please, this guide may help some newer players, and I'm sure it won't drive them to quit augs forever. There are a lot of guides out there, people read them to find out some ways of playing, they'll test them, if they like them use them, and eventually adapt their personal needs into those strategies.

Please, if you want to flame open another topic, it's pointless to turn everything into a flamethread. This never would have been accepted back when there were many clans (on most forums anyways). This should be kept a thread with each player's personal advice to new (or new to aug) players.

I suppose you could call noaugs a mod (though I don't really consider it a mod, as it's not really the game being physically modded), but to each their own. I think people are free to try noaugs if they like; personally I just hate it and recommend playing augs.
