DCSB server > GODZ server

It all started for me 5 years ago when my cat died that I have had for 6 years. My best friend ( aka Samme ) was like "oo wtf here lend these demo discs to have something to clense your mind with. Deus Ex was one of the demos, I played it over and over im like o wtffffff!!! asked my mum to get it and I got it for christmas. Finished SP over and over and 1 year later I found out about the patch via Gamespy, So I started playing MP when I got my ADSL 0.5 meg. And here I am now.

I still have my 0.5 meg connection

But Im getting a 8 megger next month.

The godzserver would be good if it didnt have 20mm in and all the maps did not have [Godz] in the beggining im sure nocance is his mind is thinking
'hey ill remake smuggler and call it [Godz]smuggler.

but if the server took out all the crap maps and 20mm and maybe cut limit down to 14 then yeh it wud be a good server.

yeh, but they wont change it, its a meeting place for nubs, and i must admit, its the onyl server that is always occupied

if they changed the 20mm stuff, just once, then the nubs would get used to a different kind of game, and begin to gain skills
then move onto the DCSB server for some real games

i prefered Rhino's before he got DSL

when newbs enter the godzserver they are exposed to a totally different style of game than real DX

that is why upon coming to DCSB or antoher normal server, they are overwhelmed by the quality

therefore, they either leave the game thinking its full of botters, or retreat back to GODZ

GODZ is having a bad influence on new players in DXMP

we cant warn them tho...its a shame

once the master server is dead, no one can host, unless via a LAN game...

therefore, kenny is "doing something" but he never told me what lol

i just hope it works

Master server is hosted by GameSpy, not Ion Storm.
And 'doing something' - just please, dont make another well-known and dead project like Novocon.

thats because of the ping differences

we get low pings in DCSB, but you get high ones

in GODZ, you still get high ones, but because everyone else has a high ping... it compensates

You're absolutely right, Marco. But, GODZ server has also a good connection. And, by feelings, 230 on it is __MUCH BETTER__ than 230 on DCSB. I noticed that is no problem making my lovely 1 meter (or less) sniper frags for me, or mid-air shots. But on DCSB noone would say that i'm a good sniper.

Yeh I know what you mean, for me aswell, the ping feels really unstable, it will read 60 when just from sniping someone you can see its closer to 150 and it keeps shooting up and down in firefights. Although I do get half your ping to start with Dae :lol:

Fire Lanox will do 'something' to make DX live as well.

Kenny is trying to port the DX game to Source so 'tis will be Deus Ex: Source ... and trying to get rid of teh single player

More specifically, what Fire Lanox will do is make more 'understandable' meshes so that the noobs can start using them, and then grow into pros. Almost what every noob does

Besides that, Fire Lanox will also be hosting a 'game server' - normally where all people play in one FLDX server - under one condition: their ping must not be any higher than 400.

It's about 130-150. On triad server (which is geographycally closer to me) i get 110-160, and i LOVE [3] server. And i love GODZ server too for its fast connection and good computer.

I expect that during these few months my provider will connect more users to one channel, and this means another decrease of the speed. This will be a total failure of my deus ex career, unfortunately. I hope, City will be released by that date, then you'll see me sometimes on manstone.net wondering in dark sewers without a gun and permanently visiting invisible hand hq :smt028
