Deus Ex Alpha

Ok I have realised that my game performance is poor due to me not having a medbind.
I have looked in http://www.dxalpha.co.uk/kb/improvements/most-popular-binds and I'm lost, I need a mebind for the numpad number 0 wich when I press it it auto uses my med and then autmoaticly changes my active weapon to assult rifle wich is in belt 2 for me, I would appreciate it very much.

lol. beware though, faster comp means won't gpf as much, but if your comp is slower, well, here is one that I recommend:

(Command="ActivateBelt 9|onrelease ParseLeftClick",Alias=MedKit) then,
0=medkit| onrelease ActivateBelt 2

Is that so? I never use Medbind, and never will. I pity those that do use it.

I never have used one, I wonder how my gameplay would be with one, bind wont work, fuck it, I have gone like 7 years without 1 so I think I could survive.

Ye, the only thing that helps me is that C acts like 9 for me...

Pity me then, I use it. Come on! I'm 56k... I gotta catch up somehow... Also med-binds that do anything like switching to a weapon doesn't work for 56k users.

Hey don't worry, I played Deus Ex from 2000 - 2007 with the 56k modem . But now we have DSL, and get usually the best ping in UK servers

I tend to have excellent ping with my 8meg connection, too.

BUT... the automatic medkit --> Weapon 2 bind won't work for me. At all.

Also, the other one doesn't work either, which Clix recommended above.

I don't really think an automatic medbind is particularly honourable playing, but at the end of the day it shows commitment to playing to the best of one's ability... even if it is a little unfair to those who do not use it.
But then again, the option is there for everyone, so really those who don't use it aren't doing their best to play to the best of their abilities.

Either way, I decided not to use an auto one (I wouldn't even if it worked), but I am trying to re-assign my 9 key coz it's too far away from W,A,S,D... and i have to move my left hand across the keyboard to pull a med out, then I die

My med-bind is my middle mouse button(scroll bar pressed in).

BUT... I still can't get ANY medbind to work on ANY key. Any got the time to check my user.ini please?

You do know that user.ini has a singleplayer and a multiplayer part? If you try to bind something to the letter K, you gotta do it twice. (as one is SP and one is MP) Just search the document for K=, or whatever button you wanna use, and you'll see what I mean.

Yep I've read the [A] KB thoroughly (which, btw, is brilliant).. but nope... no luck.

It's probably just a case os "Shinobi Luck", which is baaaaaaaad at the moment.

Simply move your med button to a closer button and use that way.

Hmm, the medbind doesn't work for everyone, don't ask me why. =(

Odd.... thanks to the one bambi posted @ top of thread works, but the one posted on [A] kb page doesn't. In fact, the 2 medbinds on the KB page don't work.

Meh. I probably won't use it, coz according to most people it's like, a sin or something. I just don't see why experienced users should be allowed to use it against me, and I should get called everything for trying to even it out.
