FTF - Long Time Dead

Hey all.
FTF have been a bit sorta dead for a few weeks. This is because I, [FTF]Freedom (now playing as [FTF]HellFire - can't seem to change forum username!), have been busy with a few online businesses I have going.
My co-leader, [FTF]Chameleon, has been hosting his own personal lagfest, Destiny's End, just for fun, but we haven't got together as a clan for quite some time.
Before I took a break we had 6 members. As a result of my lack of interest we now have 3 members.
I just wanted to let everyone know that FTF is NOT dead. Yeah, we kinda suck, but we're working on that, lol. We're well and truly back on the map.
We're not accepting clanwars (unless ur after a 3v3) but we will be soon.
Also we have some maps coming out in the near future.
Please, pop in to the FTF server and give us a game. We need the practice!
For more information please email me, [FTF]HellFire:

Soon we will be maintaining a master server for servers of our choice only. The idea of this is to have a "streamlined" server list for dedicated players, cutting out the n00b servers & RPG kiddie-fests.Please, pop in to the FTF server and give us a game. We need the practice!

matt@online.exofire.netI'm afraid we don't have a website.
Hosted on a home connection I guess? And you will only have ~4 servers in your masterserver then. I for sure wont be using it, I don't want 'high quality but empty servers'. When I play in the morning, when usually everyone is at school or work, there isn't anyone playing in High quality servers, only in servers like RPG servers.

Hi to all.
I've recently discovered Unreal Tournament. It's much better than dx. So I'm off.
Bye bye Smile

Yes , I mean that Kaiden , FTF gave me free Nephtys Web Download , But I need to ask again , as their site is down.

Meh, if you see any within the Downloads section, which is most things, you can just use them.
~þsÿçhø~, lol! No, not me. One of the new recruits perhaps.

Yeah like Kaiden said, just nick the download links from the [A] archives. That's what I used to do....
It's ok coz the majority of idio.... players, don't have Nephthys, so it doesn't steal much bandwidth.
It wasn't so much that I gave "free web support" - I mean, dude, it's not as if anyone would charge for that.... not withing the dx community anyway. I just offered to help out a bit coz it sucks to be a struggling clan who can't get their server to work... had plenty of experience there meself!
Speaking of servers - read this:
http://dxalpha.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11632
PS: UT was good! It's more fun and waaaaaaay more fast-paced than DX, and my PC can handle it!! Werhey! But... well... I felt insignificant =( And waiting for 1768 servers to ping is a bitch.

DXMP shouldve been at least as fast as the SP speed. :/

dxmp generally stands for deus ex multiplayer on these forums, while SP stands for single player, which you may have heared of. If you ever decide to play deus ex, you will notice that the speed of running is considerably faster than in the online patch.

You can change it for your server... and why be like UT, play UT then.

Wtf? I'm TOTALLY confused. MP isn't a fuckin patch, it comes with the DX game.
And DXMP is only slow running for me coz I host and play and all on an old pc.
UT is what I would call your average game. It's not really that intelligent, but it's a good, fun no-brainer, whereas DX is clever. Just ya gotta admit, DXMP ain't that special. I'm only still playing coz I got used to the SP game and loved it so much, then tried out MP... I had never played MP anything before, and got wowed by the whole "playing vs real ppl" thing. Met some cool guys, and here I am, 9 months later, still hooked!

UT and Quake have very fast speed for different reasons, DXSP had pretty much normal running speed.
DXMP speed is not normal. It is mind numbingly slow. Only thing that makes up for it are the extremely small maps in servers with many players. or speedaug

AH I see what you mean, now! Dude, sorry I didn't explain myself, I was on about technically speaking. Hardware... performance. Not actualy running speed. But while we're on the subject, yeah it's definitely a bit slower in MP than SP (well I think it is)

I would rather DXMP's tempo as it is personally.

Agreed, for the most part. 0-aug running is a tad boring when trying to get round a large map tho. DXMS_Rooftops springs to mind.

My game did not have DXMP. I did not know there was such thing as DXMP.
The development barely released a patch or two when the online release was clearly too fucked up. Rest was up to the community.

Ok sorry dude I forgot about the initial release. I just bought the GOTY editiong in a bargain bin sometime during 2002.

I'm having one of those days - the whole day can be summed up simply with one word: *fail*
