it takes me about 20 sec as well, and the stupid thing starts loading from below so i see the weapon belt first.

Posted: Mon Jan 21, 08 3:46 pmPeople impersonate for many reasons. See, I will less likely be a target for impersonation as few people know me in-game. I'm a fanboy of Deus Ex but I don't play DXMP much. It's going to be hard for someone to impersonate me when I hardly play and only play on select servers.
But others, such as Hey here and many other forum members will be impersonated as they play DXMP more. Therefore are easier to find out about and therefore impersonate. Why they do it is a whole different story.

Nephthys is my friend... Nephthys gives me a wuvvly little list of players' previous names. Granted, only names they've previously accesed my server as, but still - it helps.

I was first impersonated when I had played the game like 3 months. And of course I used special symbols in name. There was no reason that I know of.
