Deus Ex Alpha

DX3 is coming for sure and I think if DXMP happens to get close to death by gamespy server shutting down, those guys at Eidos Montreal could do something to prevent that I guess
Point: DXMP has a LOT left.

Actually I think with the release of DX3 the first game will see a new lease of life.

I went out and bought old games of great titles to get the storyline and just to see what the fuss was about. If this new game is any use, hopefully, it'll increase the numbers playing the single and multiplayer game.

If that's the case, I'm sure gamespy will reconsider.

That would be a very good idea, however I doubt it'll happen immediately. Valve did it and it was genius but whether or not EA have the full rights to do it I'm not sure.

So far I believe it's a PC title, however if it's on all console platforms then they'll probably decide against the idea - porting DX/2 to the PS3 and 360 could prove time consuming.

AS happened for others games I LOVED to play, when a sequel came the server was shut down after few months.

I think that there are no hopes for DX 1

DX3 will probably be full of aimbotters and cheaters like CS.

I hope DX3 will still have an MP version either way. And, I hope Eidos Montreal will release a DX3 SDK and other tools to allow for people to map and mod for DX3. It'd be fucken great.

I have my doubts on both matters as well. I said I hope they add them and it would be cool for them to do so.

I don't mind about the SDK but the only way I buy it if it has MP.

The SDK would be almost as important as the MP, without Unreal Editor with DX 1 no one could make the maps we have, etc.

I meant as in a special SDK just for Deus Ex 3, I would be happy with UT's one

Seeing as UT and DX3 both use different engines, that wont be possible.

I took a closer look at Tomb Raider Legend, and it seems to me, that Deus Ex 3 will be like the following:
- Will not have MultiPlayer
- Will not have coding abilities
- Will have an SDK to create enviroments

Well, as you explained above happends, I will not buy it.

Deus Ex is known for its immersive gameplay and storyline, thats what got it its goty edition, not its shitty mp.

NAh honsetly, I would not pay £35 for a game without MP.

And IMO, I honestly only play games for the MP, sometimes for the SP, but that's very rare for me.

I don't see why people don't play the SP. That's why the developers made the game (games which are multiplayer only are excluded from this list, games like Counter-Strike). It's so pointless, IMO, to not play SP.

What I hate about is if certain aspects in SP are in MP you can get fucken noobs going "WHAT'S THAT MEAN?" and "WHAT'S THIS MEAN I'M NEW!" No, you're not fucken "new" you just didn't play the fucken SP game so you have no idea wtf is going on. It's like buying sequels to games you've never played (certain games are exempt from this, like the GTA series).
