Deus Ex Alpha

Are there any people playing from these places? I wonder if so cos I've never ever seen two guys talking japanese or arabian in DX.

Well there was that Japan Deus Ex server.
Couldnt enter it coz they use different version of dx ?
or was maybe fake

I doubt they would play DX in Africa, could be wrong (I am the only guy from Fiji that plays)

I was looking at the cost of internet per mb, and there cost in Africa is astonishingly high, even in the most developed of areas.

Around christmas 2006 I saw some Asian players playng

Kartik Mudalier plays DX, his bro too from Bombay or somewhere, DJ is Arabic isnt he, there a few...

I've seen some cheap hosting in Africa. DX was probably never marketed there and as far as I know, Africa is not renowned for gaming addiction...

I don't know what to make of that Japan server, I find it strange there has been no other contact of any kind with them. I think Japan is a big console culture and also probably Japanese ppl went to live abroad and may play, but like females in DX, they might simply be choosing to keep their identity personal... but the distinct absence of any player from an Asian "Tiger" city even, makes me think simply it wasn't marketed there either...

I know one or two guys from my MSN contacts that are living in Asia and play DX.
I think its pretty cool playing and talking with people all over the world.

As i constantly remind everyone lol, I lived and worked in Japan and I speak Japanese. Something wasn't quite right to me about that server.
Japanese ppl play on Japanese Keyboards, in Japanese language. Many Japanese hardly speak a word of English beyond "computer" and "rocketo"

I do find it strange that these guys appeared on the masterserver, but we couldn't join, yet the server was perfectly readable in English, how does that add up... they wrote English in their ini, so therefore their ini must have understood English...and yet we can't join...

and I find it hard to believe that someone would convert DX to Japanese Kanji, for ONE server... there are 3000 Kanji characters, of which 1500 are common and remembered by the average person. that's a lot of alphabet.

but I seem to remember the ping was roughly plausible...

Japanese people have great skill in taking something good and improving it. It would be great to see what they do with DX1.

He's 13, and English is our second language just in-case most people think it isin't.

A nationality count might be interestin and useful...

ive seen hungarians and poles, but no czechs or rumanians...

in fact im gonna list as many as i know... about 20 countries so far...

The percentage of Russians and Ukrainians in DXMP is also growing significantly.

Most of them don't speak English, but unlike talkative Hungarians, they usually don't read messages or say any words on any language; however, in the end of the game, they sometimes say something like "fuckin americans!1" even if the majority of opponents is from Europe

Not many finnish people play DXMP which is a shame. I only know four other players along with me...

Throughout the 4 years I remain the single player from my country playing this game actively. Over time Ive spotted perhaps 5 other estonians play this game, but none of them played it more than perhaps 5-10 maps, and only one of them is someone I know.

I know one deux exs player really, well, I have to put up with him everyday. Not hard to figure this riddle out.

Chaocracy, who sometimes appears on 0aug / DXAG servers, is from Estonia as well
