This game's dead and the community's boring. I'm off to better things in my life, Hybrid.

ATDM is pretty healthy at the moment hybrid, so I reckon you can get a few games. Drop by at deus-ex.net , dz is hosting american server that gives rather impressive ping even to an European like myself. Dont know about you kiwis tho.

Survive has payed for an Euro ATDM server, and Euro BTDM server and a 0-aug server (soon to be multi-dx)
All are paid. ATDM one is pretty popular.

Hey man, Deus Ex is on a downhill track to death, in my opinion. Especially with people wanting to fucking destroy it all the damned time but I'm sure you'd fine someone a server or two lol.

The only person that wrecks it 95% of the time is DejaVu, and that's because he doensn't like 0-augs

Yeah, I'd agree with that. It's not dead per se but it's not getting much activity - new players - which really sucks.

I go on around 12-3PM, GMT +12:00 (NZ time). It's generally alright then but I prefer to go on at night as well and nobody else is on because it's either the middle of the night in the US or early in the morning in the UK.

Gas is a needed element and too many people ignore its usefulness to block off a route or chokepoint. Too many people also ignore how annoying it is to the other team also.

Personally, any fucking grenade I get at the time I use. I like gassing people out rather than blowing them to bits because not only do you get the fucking corpse in one piece but it's also funny to watch them choke... and die...

what I don't like about gas is that it slows down the pace of action maps like DXMP_Smuggler, creates stand-offs, blocks areas of the map and creates periods of the game where two teams camp between a cloud of gas. Lams do the opposite, you can't camp that corner on smuggler, or any room or dead end so easily, because someone simply will start up the artillery... but I do agree with DJ's point, a lam more like a CS sized explosion would be a lot better...

Choke points
CHOKE points
THATS THE JOKE

i'd rather sit the other side of the choke point, save my health and wait for enemy advance or gas to dissipate... and so would a lot of players...

hurrrr then why not do that. That is the point of staying away from them because you're risking your life to be in those points durrrr
No right or left, only foward or retreat. Without the stress and tension of projectiles, nades and fire that map wouldn't be Smuggler. There's nothing like the feeling of slamming a long, silver bullet into a well greased chamber.
