Idea 1: Would anyone be interested in having a DXMP clan Tournament for a small sum maybe $100 via paypal to the winning clan?

- There would need to be at least 4 clans participating with each clan sitting 4 players.

Conditions for price acceptance:
1. Winning clan must post links to Deus Ex MP game downloads on gaming forums or get their pets and friend's moms to play. Or play on my server.

Your going to pay 100$?

Sure will. But if no one takes any interest, I'll just donate it to Alpha. It'd be more fun with a clan tournament!

Or any other type of tournament ideas are welcome.

HK, RTK(IMO) are dead, and out of which, Z and C are inactive too.

Alpha has moved on, and I don't think that they will participate.... :O

Please don't do this! The game's competitive community is utter shite! They couldn't organise themselves a match between other clans to get out of a paper bag!

I mean honestly all they do is play in pub servers or moan about other clans on MSN or their forums.

I'm sure we could organize some scrimmages. Later today, I'm going to prod some other clans, or spam servers.

I honestly wouldn't bother, invest the money in another game that might prove more fruitful. I don't want to say the clichéd line but the game is dead. Even investing in modifications for the game is pointless...

When fully active there were like 5 clan matches a year!

While I am quite sure that certain someone in this thread has little clue what the actual dxmp scene has been about for the past many years I still have to agree with Keith about investing in the mods. If you put a prize up like that, you are guaranteed to have clans and teams fight for it. Thats about it. It wont help the game further than a month, if even that.

That being said Ive been surprised to see this game alive for officially 5 years a row now, and going without that major changes. Id give it another 2-3 before its completely flushed. You never know, though.

So you're saying I'm wrong about when DX being most active?, I wasn't talking about the golden age of competitive DXMP that you didn't see.

Also to be clear: This is $100 split between the clan members and not $100 per clan member, so $25 each for a 4 member team.

Sorry man but the game's dead. I wouldn't spend any money on it period. Had a good run though. Most people on this forum either have uninstalled the game or don't even want to open it, myself included.
