ALL servers are down?

I can't find any DXMP servers.
Neither ingame or using Gamespy.
Any ideas as to why?

Xfire can find them just fine. I am not sure how this is since shouldnt xfire get its information from the same source our games do?
All servers are empty anyway

Masterserver is down I think.
edit: just pinged master0.gamespy.com - seems fine.
Still the applications handling the servers could of crashed whilst the server remained in tact.
Any ideas?

I dont know whats happening too. Sometimes there are no servers online and sometimes you can find one. I think it's a master server problem, should be fixed soon I think

This just in 22:51 GMT. Took a screenshot of this server I saw on the server list. Notice the server description (under server rules) too.

I don't know how legit that masterserver is, I haven't checked it yet.

There should be the default one there as a ServerActors entry in that case, just change the gamespy address to that one. Sorry I can't be more specific - I don't have DX installed.

That is for server hosting, if you want to see both gamespy and jmdeusex at the same time then I would get MMUserInterface180
If your just gonna change it to jmdeusex and leave it there I think you change this line

To:

I hope GameSpy get it fixed soon, Dxmp is already losing players, and now this happens. Does anyone here know what is actually going on?
Creating new masterservers just for that situation is a waste of time, let's see if GameSpy will fix it first. If the GameSpy server for DeusEx gets down forever, then we should start thinking about hosting a new masterserver.

I guess Gamespy's masterserver is having some temporary technical problems. I pressed the "Refresh" button at DeusEx MP menu and all the servers showed up, then I pressed it again and I got nothing.
Let's wait....

HDD21, I think new master servers are not a good idea for now and them won't solve the problem anyway.I hope GameSpy get it fixed soon.

Actualy EUGENE(Thats right I know your name, I'm a founder of ego) I think a spare master server is good to have, I will hopefully find a way to get one running, but this one won't have Nephthys because many of the dumb server hosters don't use it.

There's been plenty of people trying to host their own Master server, the only half successful one was Dejavu's and that was because he forced people to use it by altering their system files. (And that MS that was used during Deja's attacks on non-aug servers, forget name).

Why is the idea of hosting new masterservers is doomed to fail?
-Most of the servers won't upload to it.
-Most of players won't use it.
-New players may use it, and when GameSpy solves the problem those new players won't be able to see the other servers Dx has.
-New masterservers can be shutdown by the owners without any advise to the players who use it
-Xfire is doing fine showing the servers list
The only way I see to a home masterserver succeed is the official GameSpy server closing forever, then hosting new masterservers will be useful.

i think its handy as a back-up in the event of downtime, but if gamespy was forever turned off, hope that new players find a site like dxalpha, FGS or mine in google.... if they search the problem.
3 days downtime now....
