Deus Ex Alpha

I remember the last game I went to this year was freaking retarded. This little wanker was like "Don't kill" and "I'll show you where the admin room is!" Come on... That, and there isn't that many people who play any more. I think it's pretty sad. I will in hope try to map again, and try to create my own site in hope of bringing DXMP back alive.

they are not meant to show you any story, they'll pick random dialogues and mix it up.

That's true man. I've tried researching as much material on this new game as I could. There we some cool elements I saw I've got to admit.

Anyway, people are already working on various multiplayer mods, like us Deus Evil working on TREM stuff, or Nolife working on his TF2-DXAG like modification, or Nobody working more on SG stuff.. and other stuff. It seems that DX still has some activity anyway.

Really? That sounds rather interesting. Maybe I should give them a try. I remember that I've played Deus Ex longer then just like 2006, or 2007 too be honest. I just don't remember what my screen-name was back then.

Ye, I checked the server list today at afternoon and it had more players and servers than usual.

I'd like to see more players in the servers but I don't know what will make that happen
I think there were lots of US players that don't play anymore cause there weren't any good servers, so now there is a good ATDM one .

DXMP is shit now, it has been for a long time.

"We Fight for Deus Ex" - Yeah... you guys do about as much as I do: Nothing. Okay sure, you have a forum devoted to Deus Ex... a forum where the most active posts are in a board titled "General Spam" and not "Deus Ex".

I recently reinstalled Deus Ex, I might check out a few MP games or too, it's been a while since I've actually played DXSP let alone DXMP. It'd be nice if others joined in for a game or too, just to reminisce about old times, but I'm negative and don't think that'll happen.

Thats because they closed the clan down in dxmp and dont even play the game. I dont see why they should change the banner just because of that.

Yes, true. Would just be nice for some of the older members to be a bit more proactive in a community they used to enjoy being in.

I agree with DxPlayer. That's one thing that really ruins Deus Ex Multiplayer.

Most noob servers don't have CRD installed.. So we COULD change the map for them.

yes...these weird *ahem* (non-fighting) maps/servers gives newer players completely the wrong impression of what dxmp is.
Altho...I can't be too critical of that because servers like the zXc Fun Server & Karky's Fun servers /etc. seem to be very popular *sigh*

99.9% of the deaths occured when a LAM was thrown as bullets, etc did nothing because everyone and their mother had regen on (WITH INF BIO! )

I never could host properly If I joined a non-ded server I was hosting on my terribad computer it'd just lag everyone out.

RPG servers were always amusing though, if only for contests to see who could hold the shop the longest.

People should be free to play whatever gametype they want. That is the nature of DXMP, and it's not killing it.

If you know a better gametype, you may always try to promote it.

I'm not saying we should shut down all RPG servers and inf bio servers and just play ATDM all day, I agree that people should play what they want.

And I don't think that it's 'killing DXMP', but I do think that you can't expect 'old timers' to play in those servers, that's all I'm saying.

If the number of people in the RPG servers and karkys server and EDH was all transferred to ATDM BTDM and 0Aug then I think more people on this forum would still be playing.

I actually like RPG servers, but yes, totally agree with you.

I'm pretty sure you just described my little brother who plays LOL.

YES COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS.

I must say this is one of the few polls where the options are most satisfying, besides the middle one which I didnt bother to read.

I think the server list can be off putting because of all the dead and pointless servers

All thats needed is a EUR & US server for the 3 most dominant gametypes (atdm, btdm, 0 augs) and a few well built servers for other gametypes like Altfire, DXAG, DXSG etc.

RPG can be fun but its played a big part in ruining the game i feel, i hate going into a server full of admins summoning and ghosting around, doing nothing but talk shit all day, like the ZXC one.

and then to get dx popular again i think we should all hand out free copies to our local neighbours

It's not the gametype that's the problem, it's the admins.
