Am making a dx weekly newsletter, so if you want anything put in, just tell me. E.g: Ads, photosection, so on...
So if anyone likes writing and wants to get involved, sign up here.
Basically your job will be to write a coloumn on things that are happening in dx.
Sample Headlines:
GamesMajor throws in the towel
GODZSERVER remains under ddosed attack
Anything relevant to the world of dx.
Advertisements will include dx clans/mapping sites, modding and so on.
If you have any other idea of what can be thrown into the newsletter, dont heisitate. It doesn't neccesarily have to be ALL dx. Also, planning to have a screenshot page, where best five screenshots are shown every week.

Erm, wouldn't you need a newsletter php or perl script? I mean, you can just go around and ask people for there emails, because you could be sending them a newsletter they do not wish to recive.

Tis a shame nothing happens weekly in the world of DX
Monthly. JUST BARELY.
And the newsletter would have to be approx the size of A5.

Writing an email script is piss simple.
All you'd need would be a sign-up site, a Database, and a PHP page for the person to publish the news letter.
So, like a day to make?

My todo list mostly involves building a business, developing business software unique in it's field, and also trying to study.
People in this town have me on speed dial for their computer problems...

You miss-understand.
I only charge for on-sight stuff and parts, telephone calls are free. I'm the "local computery guy" people phone up when things go wrong, or a pop-up shows up telling them the end is nigh.

To write a script when there is a choice of 156 scripts on HotScripts.com! What a waste of time.

No, lol, you have to upload it onto some webspace which supports the things a certain script requires. Most requires a MySQL DB to store the data for the mailing list. But alot of webhost's don't allow alot of MySQL DB data to be stored. Max on most hosts is only 5 Gig i recommend
EJAM Hosting. They are free and are very reliable and a great community.

I don't need to go through all this editing crap and such when I can just set up phpbb and post mas email message to whoever signs up to the forums. If you sign up, you get the newsletter. Simple.

You are incorrect.
If a person signs up saying "I want this news letter", and 500,000 other people do the same, how do you suppose they send them emails, if not in a bulk amount?
Bulk emails are fully legal, it is unsolicitated emails that are not.

But if you sign up on the forum because it's a Deus Ex forum, and half of them would like some A5 style newsletter, and half don't, then you send to all of them and you will get flamed at like shizzle.
