No, I'm not sure. I checked their price for UT, since the games use quite similar engines. However Deus Ex can't be run on Linux and this fact may affect the price too.
Just write a letter to their support to clarify things

B) Wouldn't it be cheaper, to say.. Buy your own box, run your DX server on it, and rent out another one to some other person? In the long run.

Yeah Ferd uploaded a couple of custom maps to be played there, I assume it's not that hard, also he had latest MTL's installed...they have to get the mods somehow...

Doesn't concern you? But if you play any 0-Aug server it does.. as this means he will continue to crash them untill another fix is found.

doesnt concern me? im 110 percent 0 aug player well used to be.., i hate augs, plus i would like to purchase a gm, like imp, however i dnt want to waste my money, because i saw what happened to the GM server which was up during dejas attacks (sos i forgot the clan now, it was a gm server which had 1 aug to try and over come the atacks, minds gone blank forgot the name sos.)
still if imp does get this server and it works it will very populated, just dnt want to see him waste his money ... coz it would be a shame..

*EDIT i remember now, i think it was MADZ? they had a server up for a month, never got played in by anyone ... such a shame.

There is a very big chance I can get this, it will be a 10 slotter for 6 months.

As for the attacking, if it does get attacked, there will be consequences for the attacker.

See, here's the thing. Some people say they're leaving a game when they actually don't. They might continue playing it still under a new alias - a new "life" if you will.

Or, some people change their mind. They wanted to leave then but then they feel like coming back. Or in the case of the person wanting to make a server, maybe they wish to make one for other players - not necessarily themselves.

It's not up to anyone else to decide how, when or why a person quits. It's also nobody's right to complain because a player may've come back. And finally, it's not up to anyone to say that once back the player (who formaly left) isn't allowed to come back.

Saying you leave and the next day your back shows your not reliable.Also it shows you can't make decisions or stay with your decisions , which is a weakness.
But oke , since he is just a kid he is forgiven. For now ....

People change their mind all the time - I bet you've done it when no one else wanted you too or it wasn't convenient.

Perhaps once or twice in my life , but very very rarely.I got a rule for myself and that is that I stay with my decision.Like I said , I find it a sort of weakness to crawl back and so I stay with my decisions , even if they are ridiculous.Off course I always allow people to persuade me if my decisions are ridiculous.

This rule can help you a lot in real life.It forces you to think very carefully about your decision.

Bumpety bumpety bumpage.... I can now officially tell you that a 12 slot server costs....... too damn much.

But an 8 slot server costs £48.60 for 3 months..... lol. Not cheap at all is it... but there we are. Shit happens.

Gamesmajor is indeed a rip off which is why I opted for gaming deluxe in the end, works out a bit cheaper ( Deus EX is nearly 100% more expensive however for most other game servers given by them, take Battlefield 2142 for £1.25 per slot, Deus Ex is £2.25 per slot, indicating how it requires a powerful machine.

Actually your wrong, Gamesmajor is almost twice as cheaper than Gamingdeluxe, and it also gives the same if not better performance aswell ping wise. A 12 slot server will cost you £27.00 with Gamingdeluxe, where as with Gamesmajor it will cost you £17.50, which is what im currently paying for, and i havent experienced any problems with this host.

Well, I experience a LOT of lag with GamesMajor. The GamesMajor server that is online at the moment lags out a lot (the ENTIRE server, not just me, also, I'm not the only one with lag, sometimes EVERYONE has a ping of 1000), sometimes multiple times per day. Never happens to GamingDeluxe.
GamesMajor is so cheap because they store more servers on a box, more than GamingDeluxe.

I stand corrected. My bad ( I do remember it being more expensive about a year ago though)

However I do know that Gamingdeluxe has servers better equiped for running deus ex. Deus Ex used up a lot of cpu on the gm machines, but the ones Gd uses can cope ( certain ones, pretty strong performers)

That's last time I heard, which was nearly a year ago now.
