It's understandable. FGS was paying over $150 monthly just to keep the community alive.

I feel bad for them, paying all that money only to have their server down. That sucks.

Ye I know :S Makes people feel bad... But since I was not here when Dejavu took all the servers down and crap, I don't know what's happening

No. My mod will be hosted on an FGS server - it won't link to any master servers though.

Yes they did, as far as I see. They took down all of their servers, seeing their servers got probably attacked per IP, so not by looking into the masterserver. Even if it's not on masterservers, as MainMan says, it will probably be attacked aswell.

Nope, DejaVu says he will not attack it.

Of course he wont. His 'friend' will. He says he doesn't do ANYTHING right now, his friend does it all, and DejaVu can't do anything about it, according to him.

What DEJAVU says is less than irrelevant by this time.

I can be completely off topic (sorry if I am)... but my offer still stands if anyone ever needs to bandwidth and the speed to try setting up maybe a firewall of sorts or to test coding that might help the situation..... I'm all in for winning DX over and letting it be peaceful again....

Best off I think is I don't really pay that much money for this stuff so.... if all you need is a server in a sense it's free to use...

More bullshit from him. I can only assume his friend has no motive to do it without his say-so, if he even has a friend. I recommend you attack certain servers until he can 'persuade' his 'friend' to stop.

I'm coming back cuz I miss mapping and I miss the community, and I want the game to be peaceful again with no more hassles.... or at least the lowest amount of hassles possible...

I've known masta for probably 2-3 years alone, as well as a few [N] guys, javar, Alex I knew but not toooo well, Nobody but not too well, Mr.Black, Faction, Commander, Epifols........

DXMS hasn't been lost. Do you know how these new attacks work? They don't attack the servers, instead they send a 'message' to the masterserver telling it that the server is offline, thus removing it from the list.

The attacks work like that in general, but FGS is a special case.
They are still being attacked with join requests.

Don't say no, because the 300Mb big log of FGS proves it.

Yes, the FGS 1 and 2 servers, but not FGS3/DXMS - I can join quickly from that link and play.

DejaVu decided that I needed special attention for my server, and as a result, hes bypassed the attack filter and gone straight to the DXMS server IP - we had it changed from the FGS IP range to save the other two servers from having to suffer as much.

If what Nobody has said is true, then it has been to little avail.
