Deus Ex Alpha

Upon the Purchasing of a GamesMajor Server in Mid June of this year, a thought that has dangled my mind is ranked games, through the usage of clan wars

Basically I will be looking for a number of 0aug clans to sign up, with the minium needed before it would go underway 5-7 clans.
Then each clan would have to play each other, with points awarded for every win, lose and where agreed, draw.

If you want to borrow the server for an official clan war game, then you must state it on the forums, which will be www.dxcounty.org/server

The setup is pretty basic, with points for wins and loses and points awarded for walkovers.

Each clan must play each other at least once, maybe twice, depending on how long it takes for the completion of, shall we say, each season

This will give clans a rough estimation of how well they do compared to the rest and offer a fair ranking system through the use of a league( NOTE: THIS IS NOT A TOURNAMENT)

Official matches must be no smaller than 3v3 and upwards after this ( gm server will be a 10 slotter)

I am asking a few clans if they have interest of this, if yes, I will pursue it, after all, why not have something to play for in clan wars, instead of just a list of win, loses, etc. which don't neccesarily mean anything

So A, along with leaders, members of any other clans, if you have interest in it, please let me know.

There would be certainly enough clans for it, and unlike a tournament, this isn't neccesarily a fixed time, it will have it's limits, but it won't be strict

And also, it's only an official match when you state it and you can't change your mind on it to be a friednly on the day

Anyway, just putting the idea across for now

lol, I would have kept it on my own, on the otp host, but Chaos said it would be better to have a separate one, so we set up this, it will be for the jtb and reneagdes server as well as this league

I doubt it would be smart to have seperate forums for it, usually works out better to just have one of the clans' forums act as forum for server as well.

1) I support the 0auged tournament idea with 2 hands, anyone bitching about that will be bitching at me
2) Server support forums were made simply because currently server will be bought by [JTB]Imperial and [REN]Chaos so it would be ridiculous to have server forums on two forums. If it was on one of the clan's forums, other side would feel the situation is not fair.
3) I hope Imperial can integrate all his other forums/projects with the DXCounty site and thus will eliminate the secluded forum spam, so there won't be "how many forums" but "one forum", I personally would hope to see it as sort of neutral grounds, currently every clan has their forums but only [A], [M3], [T] and [3] have rather active forums visited by many visitors.
All these forums without exceptions are led by the clan and through the values of the clan, even if there are moderators from other communities.

That aside, the server will be needing support forums so if you don't think much of the other projects Imperial has been involved in then at least value the forums even you will likely be using.

neutral grounds

I always prefer this statement in such things as this

Some things are important to remain neutral and with the clan not directly involved in such matters

As Ken has stated, It is important not to have it on either clans forums

On top of this, if we were, the clan rankings would also be held there, most likely, thwarting the thing from the start

I forsee both Ren and Jtb to be involved in this league and therefore they should not be directly involved in it, but instead be ran neutral, which, if the things I mentioned in my first post are carried out, will happen this way

i also think clans participating in this event should probably have equal number of members, less members for some clan is their strength and for another clan it may be their weakness.

Well it won't be a home hosted server and it doesn't neccesarily have to be organised in over a month, then finish up.

Well ye actually, I was thinking that official games can also be counted on dxms if the clans agree to it

One thing that would help me and Chaos tremoundously is how to make a shortcut that just sets up a match server, do you just use inis, then change their name on entering the system folder?

I have completely different game folders for each server type; the Match one is just a basic CRD with a minimum amount of mutators.
