Fetus Analysis

Postby Tonnochi » Thu Nov 29, 07 7:49 pm

Here are some rather odd screencaps of the fetus I took from the HD teaser.

The left shoulder:

Some kind of cap. Another sign of a Mech-Aug.

Back on topic, what's a pivot lock safety cap?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pivot_joint

That's what a pivot joint is with respect to the human body, as the other pivot locks are just a kind of key lock where turning the lock turns a piece of metal to lock/unlock whatever it's attached to. But what kind of augmentation would need a joint in the body to lock and unlock during maintenance?

I can't read some of the text on that vid. Becomes very pixelated and blurry on certain parts.

The Emile name could be the character or it could be an industry. I found a book that maybe kinda related on Emile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emile:_Or,_On_Education

I don't understand. What is it and what does it have to do with DX? Also, that first picture looks to be some sort of barcode. And yeah, redo the movie.

The Emile name is all over the fetus, look in the first pic he posted at the top of this thread. Look on the left, the name EMILE is backwards... it's even on more places on the fetus if you watch the video.

Hmm... I can't see it ('cept on first pic) but then, I blame my PCs brightness (can't get any better...).

Here is something I tried to decipher:
Image

I believe it says TRIAD CORP, could also say TRIAD CORE.

Here is some photoshopping I did to 'try' to make it more legible.

Edit: TRIAD could even be THIRD... maybe.

Third Corp/Core makes more sence than Triad Corp/Core. Still makes no sence though lol.

Idea: have you tried decoding the bar-codes? If they're detailed enough to hide hints in the trailer as you have so well exposed, isn't it possible that the bar-codes would contain some info? Just a thought.

I'm taking a look at it now. Also, that barcode looks like it says TRIAD, not THIRD. look at how the second letter narrows at the top and has a thing sticking out on the right, as a stylized R would. The fourth letter, on the other hand, looks far too symmetrical to be an R.

Knowing the history of DX, I think it's likely that Emile is an allusion to this.

that article wrote:Emile: or, On Education... is largely a philosophical treatise on the nature of man; it addresses political and philosophical questions regarding the individual’s relationship to society, in particular how the individual can retain what Rousseau saw as his natural goodness while participating in an inevitably corrupt society.

Sound familiar?

They aren't normal barcodes, from what I can tell... So they'd need quite a bit of work. :(

They could have just done a Perspective Transform in Photoshop, but the barcode I extracted from that image is too blurry to be decoded.

EDIT: Zeitgeist, how about searching the datacubes and other in-game text for references to Emile? It looks like you have access to that shit, and there's a possibility that Emile is a reference to something mentioned in passing in one of the games.
