Which would you prefer, the ability to melee with weapons in DX3 or just the traditional style of picking up melee weapons and using them?

Ideally, both but melee-only weapons should do more damage since that is their purpose. That'd be realistic combat fo sho.

Indeed, exactly what I was thinking.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Realism FTW. Though note, I don't think DX was ever made to be realistic. Not in storyline anyway. Considering no such things as augmentations (to Deus Ex's degree) exist... yet...

You're right, I asked myself that too awhile ago.
I don't like the idea to melee with gun weapons.

I couldn't care to be totally honest. I prefer melee-weapons but guns with melee capabilities IS realistic. I pistol whip you!!!

But seeing as everyone is a cyborg or heavily armour, they'd say "I don't think so, Tim" back.

You can do some serious damage with the butt of a rifle, they're pretty damn heavy.

While were on the subject of what we'd like to see,

I'd like to see visible additions to my weapons, without making them look like the just got ported from BioShock.

I.E Visible addons, but hold the ugly.

Also while we're at it, I'd like Red Faction style real-time world damage. On MP that would be fantastic. 1 hour map, trenches everywhere.

Visible addons are definitely cool.

Also, Red Faction made amazing innovations in the area of interactive environments that I haven't really seen other games parallel, so I totally agree.

One thing I did like that they added onto DX:IW was the ability to climb ledges. Be cool to add that on DX3 also.

I wonder if they will use the same augs from DX1 or make new augs.

I personally, hope they use a combination. As most of the augs (mainly Cloak, Speed, Regen and Targeting) I thought useful in DX1. Though I'd like them to add their own so I can see their imagination at play. See how good Eidos Montreal is compared to Ion Storm.

I'd like to see at least 2 new ones, and maybe one or two new skills.

I prefer IW's augs, to be real.
They're superior yet too less.
