Yay.

I love it when Devs are intelligent and use Steamworks. Though I won't pre-order it till there is an actual golden release date.

Yes, but July 1st is the estimate at the moment.

Any time this year is good. As long as they didn't/don't rush anything..

Gamestop Canada says July 1st 2011. Not accurate, but it's a date, and I'll go with it for now.

yeah, and according to another game shop, it's coming out in September. I'm well aware it's unofficial. I'm going to go with Gamestop's "July 1st" until there's an official date though 8) Why? Just because I fucking want to.

Yes. I said gamestop. I preordered the augmented edition at gamestop (I already had a feeling it would include steamworks).

A code activation DRM and a client where you can dl the game to everywhere is bad?

Try steam for once family guy quoter, you do realise people with half a brain who dislike sp games being on steam will either just play it or buy and crack it.

You don't have to worry much about other DRM either, unless you're a confused company labelled Gearbox Software.

Example:

-Your disk breaks and/or you lose the disk, and wish to reinstall/install DX:HR one day. Since it's lost/stolen/broken, etc. Too fucking bad. Looks like someone's going to have to buy the game again!

-At a m8's house...
You: Hey man, you've GOT TO PLAY DX:HR!
M8: Id buy it man, but I don't know what it is, or if it's good.
You: Well shit, My disk is at my house.
M8: Fuck it man, I'm just gonna play a real game like DA2.
You: NOOOOOOOooooo.

-Every time I go through this vent, the game crashes. Shit sucks. Is there an update?

Example with Steamworks:

-Your disk breaks and/or you lose the disk, and wish to reinstall/install DX:HR one day. Since it's lost/stolen/broken, etc. Oh cool, it's registered on my steam account. I think I'll just double click this grey "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" and download/install the game from Valve's servers :)

-At a m8's house...
You: Hey man, you've GOT TO PLAY DX:HR!
M8: Id buy it man, but I don't know what it is, or if it's good.
You: Here man, let's log in to my steam account and download/install it :)
M8: I'm really glad I went through this experience man! DX:HR is soo much better than DA2!

-There was a bug in a vent? Huh, who knew.. Every time I go on steam, it will check for game bug fixes/patches, download, then install them automatically, so I didn't have a clue.
