I'm very intrigued by this and too noob to explain it.

Can someone explain please?
I was going to say, that's just graphics settings, but bodyshape is different in the two shots, so I was a bit confused...

That was the guy who leaked it IIRC, these were part of the first screenshots.
You're correct, the lighting has been changed and it's exclusive to DX11 cards. Yes that is terrible and disappointing.
There's a few settings like that for the anti aliasing too, smooth edges is for DX9 but with DX11 you can use MSAA which is still, well, crap.

Well the bloom is lame but it gets shadows and depth

Non-DX11 exclusive settings allow it to look more colourful!
Yes it's totally stupid and they need to adjust the settings for release, ASAP

Thanks.
So I'm wondering what PC and particularly what card spec I should be ordering.
I've heard DX11 has brightness issues. But it seems much sexier in the second screenshot.

I'm pretty sure you should get a great PC either way, if you don't like the exclusive DX11 lighting (under the shadow options IIRC) you can just turn it off and keep stuff like tessellation on.

Check the second link before you order your parts, it is updated monthly/bi-monthly.

Are you saying a 5770 isn't enough? :S I'm a tad confused here.
Sold my 560ti's as I figured they'll become obsolete in a short period of time.
Getting a 580 Lightning so I have the option of 580 sli down the road to handle the onslaught of upcoming games.

Graphics are growing on me.
Jagged and sometimes overly blurry at the same time (bit like overdoing post processing playing UT3):
