Don't you just hate the multimedia trend of plot incompotence? I seriously hate the first scene with Adam and Zhao, how can he be so stupid?! >: (

So did any of you notice the email that outright says Sandoval and Taggart (Under IS and WT) were working for Belltower inside the underground FEMA facilities' medical rooms? I think it where the Sarif scientists were operated on by Sandoval as shown by ELIZA.

Yeah that part with Adam and Zhao was just retarded.

The whole game he's got this cynical "I never asked for this" vibe around him, and then he just stands there and lets Zhao trick him, despite reading 10+ emails where Zhao just was revealed to be evil bitch, willing to do anything for more power.

I preferred the gameplay trailer cutscene, where you could have had like a hacking "boss fight."

In the cutscene it appears that Adam is racing against the clock to hack a terminal before those guys flood into the room to kill him.

Why didn't they do this?

The security node could have been on from the start, or some kind of unique trigger to alarm the guards and instead of failing the hack, the race against time is to do it before the guards get there.

Non-optional hacking, three situations;

a) It's security 1, and if you have no hacking ability, its difficult to do it. If you trigger the security node, it can't outright stop your hack (due to a one way bridge from your initial hacking start), but it can fortify nodes to make the hack longer.

b) You have good hacking abilities, it's a long but easy cakewalk.

c) Within the facility is at least one auto-hacking tool, you can use this to auto-hack.

The result is you get information on Eliza Cassan and hacking or auto-hacking triggers the guard alarm anyway.

The only pro of that cutscene with Zhao is that if you didn't get the chip replacement, and she tries to killswitch you, Adam says "And thats why women will always underestimate men!"

Great cutscene lol, but I prefer the killswitch

PAUL DENTON MODE BOSSFIGHT YEAAA

Yeah the bossfight is better with the killswitch on. And the following cutscene of course is a lot more interesting.

Of course the boss fight is pretty easy once you get the grenade launcher.

Any explosive weapon* but that's a given really.

There's a glitch where you can take him down like a normal enemy when he jumps over the wall, just gotta stand there and keep pressing the key.

Well what I ended up doing;

Barrett = Rocket Launcher
Yelena = Typhoon
Namir = Grenade Launcher

The best thing about Grenade Launcher is that its a semi-automatic explosive weapon with a 6 round capacity. As opposed to the Rocket Launcher which is one shot.

Yeah grenade launcher is definitely my favourite explosive weapon.

Also for more cheesing like the takedown glitch on Namir, the laser gun shoots through walls, you can kill Zhao from where you stand.

Typhoon is pretty cheese for Yelena I think

super quick post with typos

It amuses me so much that people assume that Megan had a relationship with Namir...

"Jaron, is that you?" (?) means HELLO BOYFRIEND IS THAT YOU? to the fanbase. I see it as a friendly relationship through stockholm syndrome or forced respect enforced by Darrow to be kind to Megan.

Even if they were, what does that mean to the player/Adam?, lol MOVE ON... Megan didn't even see you get shot. She has little reason to hate him. Sure Adam has a reason to be annoyed that she's friendly and okay with her captives yet he spent the operation dreaming of her and thinking about her for months and within the last week on this frantic journey to find her. He says it himself.

Though, people are rightfully annoyed at Bob Page and her working together after the credits.

Plus Namir most likely has no parts except a slot on his crotch to most likely insert a device to use the toilet.

Is Namir basically just a head with everything else machine?

Also, Megan is essentially hard to read.

She is potentially anything from caring and compassionate, to manipulative. The best thing about this game is it makes you doubt Megan's actual character. Is she the victim or has she been part of the problem all along...

I think if anything, she is a scientist, who wants to achieve massive things.

At Sarif she was given an opportunity to make a breakthrough step in augmentation, essentially the research on Adam's DNA.

Under Darrow, she was given even more power, and her research was used primarily for the killswitch, but she could branch out into other areas freely.

She could have stockholm syndrome, or she could now not be restricted by morale ambiguity, which would accelerate her research, at the cost of alienating herself from her peers.

The player is left to guess what her objectives are under Page.

Does she know of page's intent? If not, she is given a similar situation under Darrow, free reign to do what she wants, without knowing what it will be utilised for.

If she does know, it's the scientist in her which is pushing for these breakthroughs.

Either way, the player cannot formulate any specific judgement. Until it is specified canon (which it may never be), no one is going to know her true intentions.

Agreed entirely. She only cares about science and she has been enjoying her new breakthroughs of research without moral limits in secret. Under Page, she has absolute freedom, she willingly went to Page who already knows of her since the start of the game and she would've been introduced to him by Darrow.

Consider her the mother of nanoaugmentations for sure, and in turn, the many nano virus'.

Yes I suppose in summary its;

Primarily, Megan cares about Science

Secondly, does Megan care about anyone else?

She obviously cares for Adam and her peers, even if manipulative with reassuring etc, but she does care... after research.

I mean she wouldn't just inject Adam with DEUS EX NANITES if he took the Omega biochip lol

Well you could argue that by helping Adam, she's using him as the tool to resolve the Darrow situation.

She's either Sarif ending minded OR Illuminati ending minded.

Either way, suggesting that augmentations are a bad thing (the darrow ending) is completely not her objective, so at her worst she is like

"Lets fix Adam so he can stop Darrow, because no one else here can..."

Again, you don't know, all speculation.

No. She helped Adam before she knew about the signal being changed. She worked to create it for the Illuminati, but was told by Darrow it wouldn't work... for the Illuminati. Her morals are somewhat in check.

By secret agenda, I mean 'She's only interested in Science and wants to advance her own beliefs and move forward'.

Hope you somewhat understand what I mean by this sentence.
