Watched it, first thought (this is fake right!?!)

Carried on watching it, wow...

I think DX3 really has hit the nail on the head with how problems will start with the morality.

It has started as a disabled application of science. Soon the military will likely start going from "ok we give this guy a new arm because his got blown off to cover our backs" to "hey that new arm we gave that guy, lets put a gun in it".

And then from there, when these things become "better" than actual limbs (in terms of performance), it will catch on as a celebrity "must have", and then become a back-street black market thing, following the same trend as plastic surgery, where to plastic surgery now is cheap and easy to obtain.

As for riots? Not really. Plastic surgery hasn't caused major rioting in any sense, i dont think prosthetics will make much of an impact either

I watched this the other day. Very fascinating to know, that we are THIS far along with augmentation already.

I've tried re-watching this about 5 times, but I keep cutting it off at the start when they're removing the eye.

WOW. Very intriguing video.

I would REALLY like to get into human enhancement (cybernetics). Seriously.

Just think. We're already at this stage now.

-and once we figure out a way to link a neurological controller to our central nervous system....

...I'm pretty sure we can all figure out what happens from there EHEHEH

edit: Guess we're finding out what happens from here! Not to mention that it's been three years since the upload and creation of these videos, which can only mean much more progression in research.

I have a feeling we're going to need a "Human Bionic Development" Forum in the future.
