Deus Ex: Human Revolution Mouse Acceleration - How to Disable it

Postby James » Sun Mar 03, 13 9:05 pm

Deus Ex: Human Revolution has no in-built mouse acceleration, but (due to badly coded free look) a lot of players have reported a problem similar to lag caused by mouse acceleration.

Here's how to fix it on Windows:
1. Use a registry fixing tool e.g. Regedit
2. Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eidos\Deus Ex: HR
3. Change the value of g_debugFreeLookSpeedScalingRatio_Pitch from 6e 00 00 00 to 00 00 00
4. Change the value of g_debugFreeLookSpeedScalingRatio_Yaw from 86 00 00 00 to 00 00 00 00
5. Re-adjust your mouse speed in game, no acceleration

You are now a legend. Many thanks, my good man.

I can't really take credit for it. I stole the information from the source, but that's only because they stole my Dark Souls info. I assume they took that and put it as their own too.

Out of curiosity, what's your Dark Souls info?

Mishmash of stuff around the web but anything not quoted is pretty much my own words. PCGamingWiki sorta plagiarised it, commented on mine to help up vote their own while crediting their wiki so I reported their own Steam Guide and Valve staff got it taken down.

Well, there's another thanks from me, as I'll probably make use of that guide.

Though I'll probably end up buying a controller sooner or later.
