Called it... Just Sayin...

I'm still siding with James on this one.

We still shouldn't have to pay for this shit.

Completely beside the point.

I expect to be made to re-buy, but will inevitably pirate because fuck paying for the same game(s) twice.

And this is coming from someone who owns four versions of the same game.

To me, the visual improvements, commentary and stuff like THAT warrant a rebuy. But, the AI improvements, balancing, boss fights that aren't shit, need to be in a patch.

I think I've owned like 5 copies of Deus Ex at some point but they were all $5-10 each and I had lost my other copies. I also brought Dragon Age and Oblivion can (but I did get the GOTY Edition of Oblivion which I hadn't had before) as I lost my copies of those, too.

But I don't want to pay for a copy of a game I already own. I have a damn Collector's Edition, I already paid for more than two copies of the game and a bunch of other crap (AND STILL NO BUYER'S REMORSE BECAUSE FUCK IT, DEUS EX). I know where that is, it's not lost.

Yeah, I get the point; but what are we going to do about it? NOTHING. The only obvious response is to NOT buy the game.

Even so, we're all still going to play it.

Interesting discussion. I like that The Missing Link is included in the game itself.

I'm also fully expecting to pay at least a small premium for the Director's Cut, since it is, in essence, DLC, regardless of whether it adds anything substantial or not.

Though I would wager they'll have numerous "flavours". One as an "upgrade" pack for those who paid and another full price for those new to the series.
