Deus Ex Alpha

How many of you guyz have the org. DX and have to install the MP patch? just need a rough idea on how much to see if its worth putting up the Deus Ex Game Of the Year Edish. for download, i have it .ace'ed and it compressed pretty good. about 1.5 the size.

I have both GOTY and an Original copy. I wouldn't advise uploading GOTY for people to download, mainly as there is Slimline, it may be MP Only, but meh.

Well i pretty much thought of that but i was wondering how many people want it for editin maps and u cant do it with the slimline cause it dosent have SP part. but i mean its 369 MB and i can cut it down even more cause thers unnessary help files and shit so yeah, w.e ill just play by ear on how many ppl want it it will be posted and up for download on the dxfps.freeforums.org site, not many pl kno about it so i was thinking about posting it on here since its more popular.

If you are replaying the game GOTY is nice because it changes few things in SP, waiting while medbot heals you, for example, was the case with the original game. But if you are a purist then of course no need to bother with that.


But what ever you people do, dont buy the sold-out shit. best option is that cardboard cd package with the pictures, thats where i got my install from (friend lost it later though).

SoldOut Deus Ex CD features protection that lets you play only if you have the original CD inserted. In KB we have an article about avoiding the protection.

Really? I think I have the soldout CD. All I have to do is change the CDPath and I can play it without CD.

Just deleting the CDPath line works.
Doesn't have any negative effects, does it?

DeusEx.exe from SoldOut changes your CDPath back when you try to delete it

maybe there are multiple editions of it?

I made a full downloadable Deus Ex GOTY version some time ago. It's still available on MegaUpload and it's only 359MB size. I added some important stuff with it too like MTL mod, demorec fix etc. PM me if you want the link for download.

I cant see anyone suing anyone...DX community has used files in the past not strictly legal, e.g. the OICW in tactical is from another game apparently.

Whats the difference between yours and slimline? its full version and therefore naughty?

Slimline is a slimline version of it, just multiplayer, so the GOTY that im going to post ( yea im finially going to post it) will be the multiplayer and singleplayer
