Yeah that would be awesome. I am surprised that this was possible. HDTP with this, would kick ass. One thing though is the framerate drops alot using this. What's cool is you can turn it on and off instantly by pressing shift+f12 in game.

its not too noticeable but you can see bumpmapping in it, needs more work.. and this is just a beta anyways.

Hmm... I may have found some settings to turn on some other stuff... brb, have to use my other computer to play it, since I have a shader 3.0 graphic card in it.

It doesn't look "great" -- it's just unusual. It's not an improvement for graphics unless it's used thoughtfully on the appropriate surfaces (that is what I hope HDTP will do). Great proof-of-concept though.

Far too dark, and the bump mapping is far too much especially on some textures like signs and photos, not to mention the models stand out far too much.

I agree with everybody, if spent time on adjusting everything just right for dx, it would be great. Also the shots just turned out darker than it was.

It's what bump mapping is really, just putting plastic wrap over everything. This is why it's best on liquids and some walls, such as painted decorations.

Yeah, I didn't find it too appealing myself. It looks nice but far too glossy. And since that's all bump mapping is well... yeah lol.
I wonder how the progress of HDTP is going anyway...
