i am hoping that DX:2027 and Ressurection the addon thingy will copmpletely re-juvinate the community, and mods like the cassandra project and TNC will be released giving re-incarnation to a almost dead game

The most used one's are the Quake engine and the Unreal engine.
But I expect to see CryTek and X-Ray to rise quickly.

remember, the Quake engine is now ages old (exaggeration lol) and the Unreal one, although still used by the UNreal d00ds, is also rather old

so new, better high elvel languages will be taking over the gaming scene soon

overall, no change was made to create these games, however we always like to buy them, even though they share the same engines,but have different skins............

Deus Ex' engine is a edited Unreal engine.
Not Unreal 2, but 1.
