[MODEL] FAMAS

Requirements:
Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP

Installation:
Put the .U in your system folder, and go to your DeusEx.ini. Find the lines with "EditPackages". Add this line: EditPackages=FAMAS.

Use:
Well, you can use this mod anyway you want, as long as you properly accredit [A] for it. It can be used in mods, or just some fun maps. :D

Syntax:
To summon the actual weapon itself, enter this: summon famas.weaponfamasf1. To summon the ammo type, enter famas.ammo556famas.

Bugs and Solutions:
  • - Bug on muzzle flash - thin outline of muzzle (Solution: make the flat muzzle flash model flatter
  • - Inventory Icon - not complete (Solution: n/a)
  • - Ammo - needs icon (Solution: make icon)


Credits:
Cataclyzm - modelling, skinning, animating, importing.
MainMan - belt icons (thanks a bunch! :D)

What you said might normally be okay, except the whole point of this mod is to recreate the FAMAS (a real gun) in the Deus Ex environment, so marking it like that would take away the authenticity.

By the way Derek, you should import the FAMAS shooting sound from CS 1.6 to use with your version.

Problem is, I only have 1.5 :D

Well, authenticity isn't a real issue, as DX is a new environment, it doesn't hurt to import some guns that doesn't quite fit with the environment.

UnrealEd is like god to me.


Flib can't get it working with Cedega, but Cedega is more for games and installers, where as wine is a broder implementation, so we'll see. :)
