4 was meant to be the best one (never played so I dunno) so why would change the fighting system? That would be like saying Resi2, 3 and Veronica are "re-hashes" of Resi1.

Looks fucking awesome anyway.

There is, zombies are cool (the best generic enemy ever). Enraged niggers attacking in swarms (is there any other kind) are shit and overused IRL.
