O'So'Late Guitar Hero Thread.

I was enjoying it through Easy-Normal, nothing to make a thread about, but when I reached the end of Medium, it all seemed to come together, the funny bit where it offers you an encore and asks you multiple times if you wanna' play Free Bird..

"Would you like an encore?"
"Are you sure? It's Free Bird.."
"You really wanna' play Free Bird?"
"Only GUITAR HERO'S WILL MANAGE Free Bird!"
"Okay, you're absolutely sure?"

And even in the loading screen, "Man, you must really like Free Bird."

Playing Free Bird after all that was pretty damn fantastic, even if I missed 200~ notes out of 1200~. The extra-extra-extra long legendary guitar solo was oh-so-rewarding even when you didn't get it all right, but, once all that is over and you're beamed up into the spaceship, hard mode is REALLY hard. After all my efforts the game seemed to want to stonewall me and condemn me to hours in the practice mode. Which is ultimately why the game fell short in my opinion. That and the tracks are a bit inaccessible for those who are new to Rock.

Play YYZ on hard, with bass on training mode.

YYZ was awesome.

But fuck your hard mode. I could barely 4-Star it on medium. How the fuck am I supposed to move my hand that fast from the first 4 to the last 4 and the first 4 and the last 4.

Also, fuck strumming up and down, THERE IS ONLY DOWN.

Try it on bass normal then, bass > guitar on YYZ by far.

So I played it, and it was alright, but if I have to be the supportin' guy, I'd rather do Rhythm Guitar on Strutter. ;D

Apparently the new guitar hero-eqsue game (Rock Band? Is it?) is even better. But thats coz the people that made GH have changed companies.

Yeah GH3 is stupid, the features are absolutely rubbish.
Rock Band's only flaw is EA.
