I'm very upset about this, my first console (or rather my mother and father's) was the MegaDrive/Genesis, and of course I grew up with everyone's (former) favorite gaming mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Ever since Sonic Adventure 1, possibly the greatest game in the series and was a great path stone on the way to better games... the game play followed the curse of 2d to 3d game play conversion with a sharp slice through its head with Sonic The Hedgehog 2006
Then Sonic Unleashed came along!

Promising 2d-esqe game play with Sonic Adventure 2 style speed rewards when you get past platform elements. Suddenly, they've incorporated an element where if its nightime, Sonic turns into a werewolf, or rather wereHOG... breaking down platform gaming into a poor beat em up. I think this is absolutely awful and ruins the promising gameplay... they shouldn't of used that idea and just introduce the Negative Super Sonic as shown in the comics and Sonic X.
