Google Chrome Survives 3rd Pwn2Own

Postby Aidan » Thu Mar 10, 11 11:04 pm

Chrome da best.

Firefox is for ricers.

Surviving even one Pwn2Own is a huge accomplishment. Chrome is very secure.

-BUT THREE?! My god. Now it just needs better add-on capabilities which I don't use much of.

For those who don't know what Pwn2Own is. In the gist, it's a hacking "contest" if you will, where hacking teams compete to see who can crack through the security of web browsers/phone OS's, etc. (times are also kept in mind).

For those of you that are going to hack at this post about "FIRE FOX HAS ONE MILLION ADD ONS", don't bother. You can buy a Honda, throw as many spoilers/stick on hood scoops as you want.. it's still FWD, and it's still slow from all that shit you've attached to it.

Firefox is still a decent browser as long as you don't rice it out.

I use Google Chrome since it's very first versions and I don't know why does other people insists on other browsers (except for some compatibility stuff). I've tried IE, Firefox and Opera (this one is also good), Chrome is the one who attracted me more.

Chrome does not have a search bar and yes, I do know about these short keywords in URL bar and I don't use Google to search everything.

Chrome does not have Firebug and yes, I've seen that standard Webkit development kit.

Chrome does not show image and page information like Firefox. Also I don't remember the "open the background image" right-click menu item, which I use really often.

It's a matter of taste but still: I don't like when desktop apps have a look and feel of a web page (e.g. settings in Chrome).

The address bar is the search bar.

Don't use Chrome. Use the Chromium browser instead.

If you think about it. There are very few things google needs to work on.

It's all gold.
