Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Well, not many games I really love, but then again not many games I play, regardless, this game is fucking amazing.

This Vampire theme probably wont suit everybody, but those who know can perhaps suggest similar masterpieces. I was thinking about trying Bloodrayne 2 though I am a bit worried about its gameplay. Sounds like a chick with two blades and little story.

As for VTM:B it definitely has the enjoyable replay experience there with different characters to try and customize (skills). 5 endings and you pretty much determine the outcome of different sidequests as well. Whether someone lives or dies, etc. In some other aspects its more linear than DX it seems, but that really should not bother when playing the game.

ANy thoughts?

Yeah I know its like 4 years old game.. but surely in this timeframe there must be other good vamp games?

im about to play redemption soon, but it kind of looks like diablo in how it works :/ I keep reading how much everybody love it but I hope the movement wont fuck it up for me. I loved diablo2 back in the day and played it not long ago but id really prefer my movement controlled with keyboard :/

Also after some googling I concluded there arent any similar games >_>

Its such an awesome game, even though it falls short on content and some features they essentially got it just right. The development was sped up to meet the deadline, and I bet now looking back the devs are really happy that it came out the same day as another feeble article called half life 2.

Redemption is awesome, but keeps crashing... On me anyway :(

some interesting mods for this game now, notably:

clan quests (collection of game enhancing mods)
final nights (massive tweaking/content mod that changes the main campaign)

and others

playing through clan quests atm as Tremere, how overpowered are these early game?! blood strike = free blood, they've got blood purge which is an area AOE with medium damage that stuns and trance which = the best stealth aid and a free stun for blood on feedable species

Oh my days, this game would have been much more amazing if Activision and Valve didn't screw them over but thanks to the modding fanbase it can hold a candle to the original Deus Ex.

I was about to reply I like these then saw I did in 2008 <: Yeah the modding fanbase did really well in keeping it alive IIRC.
