Chip/Crisp bag.

Seriously. It's 70% air, and 30% Chip.

That is 70% DRM and additional bullshit, and 30% actual game.

The more it gets tossed around between devs, the more crushed up, and stale your chips are going to be.

Different Devs/Pubs are like different brands of chips.

You always feel like shit after eating an entire big bag of chips in one sitting.

Everybody game now, its not full-nerd hobby these days, so its natural that chips that we get are no longer primarily some kind of old traditional snack but intended to make lot of cash off the masses fast and often.

This means that because there is so much shit, you just have to dig a bit harder for good stuff. I do think there is merit to the thought that the prevalence of shit drags quality down in most but not all cases, although we seem to have mega-publishers such as EA to thank for lot of that.

This is why I raged so much about Dragon Age 2 while I found DA:O to be really good. Its chips.

James makes valid point, though, about not buying shit.

Fucking pisses me off if packages get larger and content gets smaller AND more colourful. Now that is something you buy once and learn about pigs in sack. Sometimes comparison charts are made of packages and content through the years, saw one for potato waffles while back. Don't know whether to laugh or cry, meh.
