I suppose reaper would have more use if Starcraft was a game about defensive buildings being integral to your build.
Since they aren't particularly, reaper becomes less useful. Don't reapers cost more than hellions anyway? (75 mins, 50 gas?) And you can't use them on the reactor of course.

Hellions seen as cheaper. Not only is it a better unit, it is more cost effective
edit: Although realistically the zergs want lurkers, I'm sure they would prefer the BANELORDS

ZvZ:
Opening: 14 gas 14 pool ?? hatch (depends on what my opponent opens with)
Unit composition: speedling --> (might be skipped: speedling/baneling) --> roach ling --> roach infestor --> roach infestor hydra --> roach infestor hydra broodlord ling
ZvP:
Opening: 14 gas 14 pool 21 hatch OR 12-13 pool 15 gas 19-20 hatch (if i scout my opponent first and notice nexus before forge or something)
Unit composition: Roach/ling--> roach infestor --> roach infestor broodlord (sprinkle in corruptors vs colossus play and hydras vs early air play)
Opponent FFE's? :D:D
Opening: 14 gas 14 pool 21 hatch 31 hatch
ZvT:
Opening: 15 hatch 14 gas 14 pool
Unit composition: ling/bling/muta --> ling/infestor/broodlord (sprinkle in roaches vs hellion builds and other nonbanshee shit that a terran loves to throw at you)

FINE LETS GO INTO DETAIL THEN
PvT: 9 pylon, chronoboost twice in a row, 13 gate scout, 15 gas, 16 pylon, 18 cybercore, 2 more gates and a robo, chronoboost observer, if terran unsafe fast expanded keep making units and attack with first immortal, otherwise expand.
Units: gateway -> gateway/colossi - > gateway/High Templar
PvZ: 9pylon scout, 12 gate and double scout if i didnt scout them first. 14 assimilator, if 6pool scouted cancel assimilator and build forge, otherwise cybercore, 22 pylon on low ground, gateway begins wall on low ground, get 4 sentries then nexus, forge and 2 cannons to reinforce wall, hallucinate phoenixes
units: sentry/zealot -> stalkers -> gateway/colossus -> colossus/voidray
PvP: 4gate. forge+cannons if scouted 2gate.

I only got annoyed in the past when people rated Stephano and Nerchio as better than all foreigners and koreans after winning a random 50 euro tournament. It seems like he can compete with the best foreigners nowadays though. I might have to look up his play properly if he keeps it up!
The only thing i don't understand about Stephano now is how his hair works.
Nerchio still sucks though, don't worry m8
I'm sad that IdrA lost to that marauder hellion push though
