Bloody oath! :D

Lambourghini is owned by VW, and hence sucks utterly.

And that excuse of a car you like is some how better?
It looks like 90% of the other 'high end' cars out there...

No
Lambos are much nicer than those others

they arent over-exentuated like Mazdas
they arent boxy like mercedes
they arent ridged like BMW
they are more original than the ferraris you see

the simplicity, yet sheer elegance of their design is what is so good about the lamborghini

I can see it now...

"Lamborghini, the simple mans sports car, feel the simplicity, today!"

Smooth lines are all well and good, but they have no character.
Also, I would not be impressed if a lamborghini came up behind me on the highway, I would if a GT500 did.

The best example of Smooth lines + character is the 69 Stingray.
If you notice in the evolution of the corvette stingray, they go from nice cut lines(67), to smooth lines (69 - 71) and then onto a more aerodynamic design.

Aerodynamics to hell, I want something that is beasty.

Yes! Something that groans everytime you touch the accelerator, something you know that given half the chance would crush you.

Torque is teh key.
I like cars that have so much torque that they can break their engine mounts.
One of the first cars I was in was a 350 V8 Statesman, it would rock me to sleep with it's gentle purr. My uncle made a Kingswood that had enough power to twist the chassis by just touching the accelerator. (He was a stupid person, but a great machanic!)

Where as your excuse for a car has no uniqueness at all.

Power to teh Muscle cars!
(All except Australian Ford's, they suck arse, badly.)

HA!

Torque.... what a great little thing it is.

I remember at my work experience the boss took me out in an RX-7.

Its not neccessary a fast car, but the torque was rather frightening. Being plunged back into the seat, tossed about by this car.

It will be nothing in comparison with an american old timer.

I would gladly have a R34 Skyline GTR over a lambo.

Given that you are automatically branded a playboy as soon as you set foot in a lambourghini. Plus I really care about engine size, torque and horsepower more than aesthetics.

any designer will tell you that when it comes to show, aesthetics come before ergonomics

unless it is a 100% efficient "machine" that is

No generator of power is 100% efficent. You should know that.

I find that a car is more about the actual engine than the shell.

A car is a piece of engineering at its best. It involves arguably two of the greatest inventions ever. The wheel and the Combustion engine.

A car that stays true to its roots should just go to hell with its looks.

As long as it isnt bright purple (unless of course thats your taste) with big holes in it its good.

A must though, is an engine, without it, the car turns to a hunk of metal. A car, is an engine.

Fair enough many people prefer to go for looks to turn heads, thats their choice. I prefer to whoosh by before they have even noticed me. A powerful engine is a must with me. I love my driving, I love to go back to its roots. It was made as a hobby, a pastime. Not to make people look good.

So the aesthetics of a car can suck meh. However, when it comes to engine capactiy and amount of cylinders etc, i like mine big.

Perfect example; 1967 Ford GT40.

By god is that a hard car to drive.

But by GOD does it go, and ontop of the speed/ torque it's self, it has the go-cart effect =D
